The company received the name “Meridiana” in 1991, but the laconic but very important prefix “fly” “stuck” to it already in 2010, when the airline combined its air transport capabilities with its colleague “Eurofly” . It, in turn, was formed much later, namely in 1989, but dynamic progress in development helped it quickly reach a good level of transportation. The Eurofly company also occupied its narrow niche: it met the needs of Italian tour operators in regular transportation passengers to resorts and tourist routes medium and short length. In the late 90s, long-haul routes also appeared on Eurofly’s flight map, and in the mid-2000s, this carrier opened a resort town Sharm el-Sheikh has its own transport hub.
