How to get to the resort?
Fly to Phoenix International Airport. It is located 35 km from Yalongwan. You can take a taxi - the journey takes about 60 minutes.

Yalong Bay, or Yalong Bay, is considered the most respectable and expensive holiday destination in Hainan near the resort city of Sanya.
The 7.5 km long coastline, curved in the shape of a crescent, is covered with fine sand of a light beige hue. Clear water in sunny weather takes on a bright turquoise color. The bottom is visible at a depth of 10-12 m, which, combined with the proximity of coral reefs, creates excellent conditions for diving and snorkeling. Schools of exotic fish scurry among the corals; turtles, starfish and mollusks are found on the bottom.
Unlike Dadonghai Beach, where access to the sea is closed after 19.00 due to dangerous rip currents, you can plunge into the warm waves at any time of the day. The width of the coastline at high tide is 30-50 m; at low tide, the surf edge retreats tens of meters. The shallow waters are comfortable for families with children and people who cannot swim. On both sides the bay is bordered by mountains overgrown with lush tropical greenery.

Weather and climate

From May to September there is a high probability of catching a typhoon. The summer period is characterized by rain and heat, the air warms up to +35 °C.
Infrastructure
Swimming areas are fenced with buoys, swimming beyond which is strictly prohibited. Vigilant rescuers on the towers immediately turn on the siren and shout into a megaphone if someone has violated the ban, and launch a quadcopter with a red flag. The unmanned aerial vehicle begins circling the swimmer until he returns back.
Beach equipment is freely available. Wooden sunbeds are placed under the stationary umbrellas. Free toilets and showers are located away from the coastline, closer to the garden strip. There are no changing cabins.
Prices in cafes and restaurants are on average 1.5-2 times higher than in the center of Sanya or Dadonghai. The portions are large, one is enough for two. It is better to scroll from the end of the menu, there are many inexpensive dishes. McDonald's and KFC are located on the territory of the Yatai shopping and entertainment center. The shopping pavilions sell souvenirs, clothing, cosmetics, loose tea, pearl products, jewelry, toys and food. Many stores do not accept bank cards for payment.
In the center of the square at the main entrance to the beach there is a fountain with a stele decorated with bas-reliefs. Miniature windmills are built on the lawns.
A well-groomed park area with walking paths, installations and topiary figures carved from bushes stretches along the coast. The trees form a shady alley along which it is pleasant to stroll.
The amusement town has carousels and a rope park.
Pleasure boats moor at the pier. The yacht club provides sailing catamarans for rent. The diving center offers dives for 450-900 yuan. The busiest place is near the Lan Resort, where equipment for diving and other resort activities is available for rent.

How to get to Yalong Beach
You can get to Yalongwan by public transport (there are several directions), using a transfer/taxi, or on your own (you can rent a moped on the island).
Electric bike rental costs 60 yuan per day, deposit - 500 (or original document). A driver's license is not required. The charge is enough for 50-60 km; you can recharge electric vehicles in parking lots (1 yuan for 2 hours), including at hotels. Scooters powered by gasoline are also available at rental points, but movement around the island by motor vehicle is limited, since Hainan maintains the status of an environmentally friendly zone. However, the police are loyal to foreign guests, and there shouldn’t be any problems.

Yalong Bay railway station, through which the Sanya-Haikou high-speed trains pass, is located almost 8 km from the coast.
Buses to Yalongwan
The most popular and inexpensive way to get to Yalong Bay beach is to use local buses. From Phoenix Airport to the bay there are buses No. 27, the distance is about 33 km. From the center of Sanya - 22 km.
You can get to Yalongwan from Dadonghai by buses No. 15 and 25, which regularly run between Nanshan Temple and Yalong Bay, passing through the center of Sanya and the Dadonghai area.

Yalun Bay translated means “Dragon Bay”. The Chinese themselves call it the “First Gulf of the Celestial Empire”, paying tribute to the magnificent landscape of this area. The bay is surrounded by a series of hills containing untouched tropical forests.
The 7 kilometer long coastline is shaped like a moon. The southern end of the bay is a bizarre jumble of wild rocks. Previously, until hotels appeared in Haitangbay Bay and others, it was considered the most remote resort area from the airport.
Distance from the airport -
30-35 km, the transfer takes about 1 hour, from Yalun Bay to the center of Sanya or Dadonghai the travel time is 40-50 minutes.

There is a wonderful sandy entrance to the sea, there are no pebbles or corals, so Yalongwan is an ideal place for families with children.
On the first coastline there are five-star chain hotels with “their own beaches.” They are equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers and always have their own rescue station. But, of course, there is no territorial division of the bay. Relax and swim wherever you want.
For sun loungers you will have to pay from 4 to 7 dollars (30 to 50 yuan); the cost depends on the proximity to the water: the closer to the sea, the more expensive. Showers and toilets are free.
Swimming areas are surrounded by buoys. There are practically no traders. There are bars with high prices. In some places there is a large local population, but hotels with their own sun loungers on the beach mostly have only their own tourists. Many tourists and locals come to this bay to swim from Dadonghai.

- scooter riding (only with an instructor) - 23 dollars (150 yuan) for 15 minutes;
- ride on a banana - 15 dollars or 150 yuan;
- fishing on a boat - 60 dollars or 400 yuan, on a specially equipped boat - 153 dollars (1000 yuan);
- sea trip on a boat with a transparent bottom (for viewing the seabed) - 33 dollars (220 yuan).
Sea -
The sea in the bay is very calm, so the water is clean and clear. In some places, the bottom is visible to a depth of 10 meters, making it possible to practice diving and snorkeling here.

Diving, surfing and kitesurfing in Hainan -
In 1995, China's first diving club, the Haiyu 18th Latitude International Diving Club, opened in Yalunwan. Today, there are more than 10 companies operating in the Sanya area providing the services of professional scuba diving instructors.
From May to July, southeast and easterly winds blow here, making Yalong Bay an excellent place to learn kitesurfing. It is worth noting that sometimes a weakened southern storm reaches Hainan, and then surfers dominate the coastal waters for several days.

“Butterfly Valley” is one of the largest butterfly breeding centers located opposite the CACTUS RESORT SANYA 4+* hotel (entrance to the park is free for residents of this hotel). “Valley of the Butterflies” is a picturesque park where a large number of all kinds of butterflies live among tropical vegetation. In total there are more than two thousand species and conditions have been created for them as close as possible to their natural habitat.

The only drawback of Yalong Bay is that there are few shops here and food in restaurants is quite expensive. For example, 2 mangoes in Yalunwan cost 30 yuan, and in Dadonghai we bought 3 fruits for 12. Here prices are higher for fruits and souvenirs.
Transport -
If you live in another bay, then you can get to Yalong Beach for 5-10 yuan by bus No. 15, 25, 29 (they go from Sanya via Dadonghai) or by taxi - pay by meter. The price of a bus and taxi depends on the distance of the trip. From Sanyabei it takes about 40-50 minutes, from Dadonghai 20-30. It’s better to get off at the Central Square, it’s easiest to get to the beach from here.
