Where on the sea Dolzhanskaya. Stanitsa Dolzhanskaya - rest, reviews

Scheme of the village of Dolzhanskaya

The popularity of Dolzhanskaya or, as it is often called, "Dolzhanka" is growing from year to year. People come here for the warm sea and excellent sand and shell beaches. Dolzhanskaya attracts travelers with its steppe climate, mineral springs and healing mud. Constant winds and shallow depths attract windsurfers and kitesurfers to the village. It is also important that accommodation and meals in the village of Dolzhanskaya are cheaper than in the large resorts of the Krasnodar Territory.

Dolzhanskaya was built in a beautiful place - at the base of the protected Long Spit, which closes the spacious Taganrog Bay. Today, this natural area has the status of a landscape monument. Near the village, a man-made pine forest grows, in which in the summer there are a lot of mushrooms, butter and champignons. In a shady pine forest, you can meet hares and foxes, and sometimes wild boars come here. In Dolzhanskaya itself and next to it there are no large-scale industries that pollute the environment, therefore the coastal village is considered one of the most environmentally friendly resorts in Russia.

In recent years, Dolzhanskaya enjoys the fame of a youth resort. Since 2001, the incendiary A-ZOV festival has been held here every year, gathering many fans of extreme sports and electronic music on the seaside spit. In recent years, the main events of the festival have been held near the recreation center "Salyut".

Climate and weather

This part of the Azov coast is dominated by a temperate continental climate. The proximity of the sea and the steppes led to the fact that in the village of Dolzhanskaya mild winters and very hot summers. During the year, the relative humidity of the air does not rise above 76%, which means that those who experience problems with the respiratory system and the cardiovascular system feel good in the village.

In the summer months, the average air temperature in Dolzhanskaya is +21...+23 °C, but in the middle of the day the thermometer can rise to +37...+38 °C. The sea along the coast warms up to +23...+24 °C, and the swimming season lasts from June to mid-September.

History of the village of Dolzhanskaya

The first Cossack settlers appeared on the coast in 1848, and the village began to be built up from the sea. The Cossacks erected huts and wooden houses, covering their roofs with reeds that grew nearby. When a stanitsa resident turned 18, he entered the military service and became the owner of a land plot of 6 hectares.

Before the start of the First World War, hereditary Cossacks and "gorodoviks", that is, visitors from other places, lived in Dolzhanskaya. Unlike the Cossacks, they did not receive land from the state and therefore were forced to rent arable land from local residents.

The affairs of the village were managed by the Cossack council headed by the ataman. When the Soviet government began to pursue a policy of collectivization, the inhabitants of Dolzhanskaya did not want to go to the collective farms. The first collective farm on the Dolgaya Spit appeared only in 1929.

When the Great Patriotic War was going on, these lands were occupied by German troops. After the war, the local state farm continued to grow crops and raise pigs and sheep.

And in the 1980s, a new page opened in the history of Dolzhanskaya. It began to develop as an Azov resort. Today, more than 20 recreation centers have been built on the coast and 3 children's health camps are operating.

long braid

The long spit is an amazing corner of nature, located next to the village of Dolzhanskaya. A long cape jutting out into the Sea of Azov was formed from sediments of shell battle. The thickness of the shell rock in the silt layer on it reaches about 12 m, and the tip of the spit is completely composed of shells of marine mollusks. A lot of gulls and cormorants live on the spit, they love to hunt on the cape itself.

Long Spit is not a peninsula with permanent borders. It is very dynamic, and due to strong winds, surge currents, large waves and surf, it changes its area from year to year. In the middle of the last century, commercial mining of shell rock was carried out on the spit, which was used for the construction of the Tsimlyansk reservoir, and as a result, the length of the peninsula was noticeably reduced.

The long spit has a flat relief. In the lowlands, you can see small lakes, and along the coastline there are surf-shaped ramparts that rise to a height of 1-1.5 m. The spit is also widely known for its excellent beaches made of broken shell rock and sand. In the southwest, the width of the beach strip reaches 10-15 m, and on the opposite side it is much narrower - an average of about 5 meters.

The sea near Dolzhanskaya is rich in fish, so fishing is popular here. Well-cooked pike-perch and pilengas can be tasted in any stanitsa cafe.

Dolzhanskaya beaches

Dolzhanskaya is washed by the waters of the open Sea of Azov and the spacious Taganrog Bay. The sand-shell strip stretched on both sides of the spit for 22 km. There are many beautiful shells on the shore, and all the vacationers in the village take them home as pleasant souvenirs.

Almost all the beaches of the village of Dolzhanskaya are privately leased and belong to recreation centers. On them you can play beach football and volleyball, rent a jet ski, ride water slides or parachute behind a speedboat. The boarding houses and recreation centers have saunas, places for playing paintball and billiards, as well as tennis courts.

Therapeutic possibilities

On the Dolgaya spit there is a dammed Dolzhansky lake, which in the past was an estuary. It is separated from the Taganrog Bay by a narrow spit "spill", and from the Sea of Azov - by a dam. In the heat, up to 96% of the water evaporates from the reservoir, and reserves of black oily silt open up along the banks - peloid, which smells strongly of hydrogen sulfide.

Mud from Lake Dolzhanskoye is considered to be medicinal and its quality is very similar to the healing peloid of Mainak and Saki lakes located on the Crimean peninsula. Peloids consist of sulfates, carbonates and chlorides of sodium, magnesium and calcium. Thanks to these compounds, as well as iron sulfide and aluminum oxide hydrates, Dolzhany mud helps with diseases of the musculoskeletal system and joints. She is treated with arthritis, spinal ailments, bursitis, radiculitis and neuritis. Those who suffer from diseases of the cardiovascular system and skin diseases also come to Dolzhanskaya.

Healing silt is used for baths, applications and compresses. Mud treatment, walks along the coast, fresh air and sea bathing work wonders! And the well-being of everyone who has a rest in Dolzhanskaya is improving.

Active rest on the Dolgaya spit

Dolzhanskaya is widely known among domestic surfers. Nature has created excellent conditions for skiing in this part of the Azov coast. From May to October, the sea warms up strongly, and constant winds along the spit reach an average annual speed of 6.4 m/s.

In Dolzhanskaya, there are surf bases that can accommodate lovers of surfing. Here you can always count on the help of experienced instructors and, if necessary, rent equipment. In addition, several sports festivals and the popular Dolzhansky Marathon festival, which gathers surfers from all over Russia, take place every year near the Dolgaya Spit.

Museum

In the center of the settlement, in house number 35 on Proletarskaya Street, a museum of Cossack life has been opened, which has the status of a department of the Yeysk Museum of Local History. The collections exhibited here are collected by stanitsa. They brought old photographs, documents and awards to the museum. In the museum halls you can see ceramic dishes, Cossack clothes and learn about the village traditions. Many tourists in memory of Dolzhanskaya are photographed in national costumes.

Excursions from the village of Dolzhanskaya

Dolzhanskaya is only 40 km away from Yeysk. The village is connected with the regional center by regular bus service (9 flights a day), so in just an hour you can be in the seaside town and see its sights.

Unlike Dolzhanskaya, there are several green areas in Yeysk, the most popular of which is the old park named after Ivan Maksimovich Poddubny. It houses the Poddubny Memorial Museum, a small zoo and a children's amusement park. To view Yeysk from above, it is worth climbing above the crowns of trees on a high Ferris wheel. The city also has a museum of local lore (Sverdlova street, 104), an oceanarium "Shark Reef" and a dolphinarium.

From Dolzhanskaya they carry excursions to the healing Khan Lake and to the Kuban farm in the village of Morskaya. If you wish, you can go on a boat trip to the island of Yeisk Spit or on a pilgrimage tour to the chapel of Stefan Yankov.

Where to stay

In Dolzhanskaya it is not difficult to find accommodation for every taste. Recreation centers, boarding houses and surf centers are built near the coast, so the prices for accommodation in them will be relatively high. There are also the territories of several car campings, where those who came to the Azov coast in their own cars stop.

In the village itself, private mini-hotels and guest houses were built for vacationers. In addition, there is always the opportunity to rent rooms in the private sector. Most hotels and guest houses offer guests three meals a day or the opportunity to cook on their own in equipped kitchens. During the summer tourist season, cafes and restaurants open in Dolzhanskaya, and small shops begin to operate. And in the center of the village of Dolzhanskaya, in the market, you can always buy fresh fruits and vegetables.

How to get there

The nearest airports to Dolzhanskaya are in Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don. From them to the village get on regular buses or taxis.

Those who want to come to the Azov resort by train must take tickets to the Starominskaya station, through which all trains go to Novorossiysk, Adler or Sukhum. From here to Dolzhanskaya two hours by taxi or regular bus. You can also come by rail to Yeysk and then get to the village by regular bus in an hour and a half.

Love rested with children 1.5 and 13 years old on the Sea of Azov in the village of Dolzhanskaya (Yeisky district of the Krasnodar Territory) in August-September 2016.

The most popular option is the private sector, but walking to the sea is not very close, from 15 minutes or more, depending on the distance from the sea.

Many different offers can be found on the website avito.ru.

There we found a house that we liked. We booked a date in advance, paid a security deposit of 2,000 rubles 2 months in advance. Rent per day was 2500 rubles.

The house was large, 4 bedrooms, large living room, gazebo with barbecue. On the site, the owners equipped a corner for children (sandbox, swing, slide). Nobody bothered, the owners are very responsive and friendly.

This option for our family turned out to be the most convenient and profitable in terms of economy.

The house was located 5 minutes walk from the center (less than a minute by car). To the sea also by car - 3 minutes.

Where to eat: cafes, markets, shops

There are no particular problems with food in Dolzhanskaya, even if you are traveling with a child, you will always find baby food (if you need special food, it’s better to bring your own) and other goods.

Cafes and small restaurants are located in different parts of the village. But there are few really good places, somewhere they cook tasteless, somewhere there are problems with service.

Popular among holidaymakers are:

 • Cafe-bar "Chateau" (Pushkin St., 52a). There is also a cafe-bar and a dining room (in the next room) with lower prices.
 • Cafe "Voyage" (street Delegatskaya, 2d). Delicious food, average prices.
 • Cafe-bar "Villa-Ribba" (Oktyabrskaya St., 290). Caucasian and Russian cuisine, children's menu. They cook delicious, good selection of drinks at the bar, large portions.

Of course, eating every day in a cafe is expensive. The average check for a three-course dinner for one person will cost 1000-1400 rubles during the peak season.

Many locals also sell ready-made food (patties, smoked fish, barbecue, boiled corn), in some houses the owners will prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for a small amount.

Much cheaper than making your own. In our case, this was the best option, since the family is large (4 adults and children 1.5 and 13 years old).

For vegetables, fruits, meat and fish, it is better to go to the market - the choice is large, the products are fresh, friendly sellers (it is in the market, in other stores that a defensive reaction to service appears out of habit).

Dairy products are of excellent quality, and their prices are much lower than in Moscow and the region. It is worth noting that some fruits and vegetables are still imported. From local, mainly grapes, pears, plums. watermelons, melons. Local Kuban tomatoes are rare, as they are very expensive to water. Most likely you will be offered imported, but also very tasty.

There is also a Kuban wine shop on the same street as the market. In addition to draft wine, beer and spirits are sold there. Everything can be tried before you buy. Prices for wine depend on the variety, on average - 150 rubles per liter.

But we were not lucky with homemade wine, we bought it from my grandmother on the street without a sample (120 rubles / liter), opened it at home, and felt such an unpleasant smell that I had to pour out the whole bottle.

Beaches

The beaches are so wide and long that there is enough space for everyone - both children and adults. Mostly small shell rock is found on the beaches, so it is better for children to be in swimming trunks so that particles of shell rock do not stick to their buttocks.

It is interesting for kids to look at sand and shells, and you can also make Easter cakes, as in a regular sandbox. It is better to bring your own toys, as the prices for them are higher here.

The entrance to the sea is very smooth, the bottom is sandy in the water, there are no algae. The sea is shallow, it warms up quickly, so it’s just great to relax here with a child.

Locals on the beach sell pies, hot corn (50r/piece) and wafer rolls with condensed milk (60r).

There is not much entertainment, but there is a choice:

 • Banana (250r/person)
 • Cheesecake (250r/person)
 • Aquabike (100r/min)
 • Trampoline

At the very end of the spit, adults are offered kitesurfing and windsurfing. Be sure to instruct, introduce safety precautions, the instructor constantly monitors the actions, gives advice.

The peak of the spit is not intended for swimming, as evidenced by a large information board on the shore. It is very windy here, dangerous whirlpools can form under water, there is no beach as such.

It is uncomfortable to rest with small children, but you should definitely visit this place, if only for the sake of curiosity.

The rest of the beaches in Dolzhanskaya are monitored, but it’s still better to wear slippers, as you can step on a dry thorn.

Leisure and entertainment for children

There is practically no entertainment in Dolzhanskaya. There are no cinemas, no clubs, no children's events to be found here. Although we did not consider this a disadvantage, but rather the opposite, quietly, calmly. Many people like to sit with a fishing rod on the beach.

If we needed entertainment and impressions, we went to Yeysk (36 km from Dolzhanskaya).

Along the coast of Yeysk there is a park named after Ivan Poddubny, there are many entertainments for adults and children of any age.

 • Museum of Poddubny
 • petting zoo
 • Aquarium
 • Ferris wheel
 • Roller coaster
 • Machines on the control panel
 • Trampolines
 • Karting
 • Aquapark

Average ticket prices are 100-300 rubles.

The prices for the water park are a little high, the slides are burnt out, the stairs are rusty, but still, nothing clings or scratches. Therefore, if you do not find fault, you can have a good time.

Minus - in the children's pool the water is not heated. When we got there it was much colder than the adult pools.

There is a bar on the territory, but there is nothing to feed the child. They offer snacks, burgers and drinks. Tea/coffee bags and overpriced. In general, for a snack, it is better to take your own food or have lunch after visiting the slides. There are many cafes and restaurants on the embankment, in any of them you can find dishes for children. For example, we dined at the Beluga bar, ordered:

 • 4 chicken soups
 • 2 shawarma
 • 4 portions of rolls
 • 2 ice creams
 • 2 Caesar salads
 • 2 bottles of beer
 • 2 lemonades

Lunch cost 3500 rubles. Portions are small but delicious. There is practically nothing from children, we took chicken soup (in fact - chicken broth with an egg), but we still had a jar of baby food with us. Cafes and restaurants on the waterfront are very expensive, but this is the case everywhere.

Various excursions are offered on the embankment:

 • A trip to Rostov-on-Don (1500 rubles)
 • Tour to Crimea (9800 rubles)
 • Kuban evenings in Dolzhanskaya (1300 rubles)
 • A trip to Khan Lake (1300 rubles)

People go to Khanskoye Lake for therapeutic mud. And no matter what they tell you, this dirt can be found everywhere. Even in Dolzhanskaya itself. Walking along the beach, you can find small estuaries where you can pick up dirt for free.

We smeared ourselves on the beach, and drove to the lake by car, collecting dirt for free.

Of course, you can buy mud, but it is sold in small packages and in order to smear yourself completely, you will need to pay a decent amount.

You need to go to Dolzhanka by car, since the private sector is far from the sea, and the camp sites (if you live there) are far from the center of the village, where shops and pharmacies are located. Yes, and just ride the beauty to see interesting.

If you are traveling by car, stock up on gasoline in Yeysk, as there is only one gas station in Dolzhanskaya itself. When we rested, there was no 95 gasoline, we had to fill in 92. The locals themselves try not to use this gas station, they say that the quality of the fuel is not very good.

Bring everything you need with you so that you do not have to buy something on the spot, some groups of goods are much more expensive here than in your region, because tourists in Dolzhanka are the main source of income.

If you have not yet chosen where you will live and want to save money when booking, we recommend using the RoomGuru service. Firstly, there are hotels, apartments and guest houses from many different booking systems, and you will not miss a worthwhile option. Secondly, you can immediately compare prices for one place in different services and book where it is cheaper (not always this is Booking!).

Brief history of the area

If you are looking for an interesting place to stay with a rich history, then Yeysk is perfect for you. Dolzhanskaya village was founded by the Don and Zaporozhye Cossacks. After Russia occupied the territories of the Zaporizhian Sich in 1775, people from there began to move to the lower reaches of the Kuban River. Of course, by that time there already existed small Cossack settlements of Staroderevyankovsky and Staroshcherbinovsky kurens.

The village of Dolzhanskaya was founded in 1848. By the way, at first it was called Long - in honor of the spit, which is located nearby. The modern name took root a little later. By the way, settlements began to form below, closer to the sea, since it was easiest to dig wells here. And along the spit there were fishing artels.

Today Stanitsa Dolzhanskaya is a popular resort place, which is in demand among those who want to relax on the beach.

Description of climate and natural conditions

History of the village of Dolzhanskaya

The history of these places is long and eventful. Scientists have discovered that the Dolgaya Spit is marked on maps compiled by the ancient Greek scientist Ptolemy, who lived in the 2nd century AD.

The Sea of Azov has always been famous for the abundance and variety of fish, the tribes of Polovtsy and Scythians were drawn here (perhaps their wives also shouted: “I want to go south, we’re going to visit!”).
