Alexander Varshavsky decided to start working on Assunta Madre restaurants. Now the mushrooms are attracting big money to live in New York

10% of Varshavsky’s three agricultural projects went to Yeghia Asatryan, the son of “reputable businessman” Arthur Asatryan, known under the nickname “Don Pipo”.

Yegiya Asatryan became the owner of 10% in Agroferma LLC, Agro-invest LLC and Agrogrib LLC, associated with the Avilon group of companies of Alexander Varshavsky. As follows from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, this happened between July and September of this year, writes Kommersant. All three companies are aimed at implementing projects in agriculture and registered in a Cyprus offshore.

Agro-invest has already launched the first stage of a greenhouse complex in Kaluga region on 20 hectares for the production of cucumbers and tomatoes. The company plans to expand the area to 80 hectares by investing 12.5 billion rubles. “Agroferma” in the same region is going to open a dairy complex for 5 thousand heads and a processing plant with a capacity of more than 20 thousand tons of raw milk per year. The cost of the project is more than 1.6 billion rubles. Finally, Agrogrib intends to set up production for growing champignons in Tula region. The project is estimated at 9 billion rubles.

The new co-owner of the farm, Yegiya Asatryan, is the son of Arthur Asatryan. The Armenian press calls him “Don Pipo” and reports that in 2013 the Italian authorities put him on the international wanted list allegedly in connection with the murder of the “criminal general” Aslan Usoyan (“Grandfather Hasan”). However, according to The CrimeRussia, this seems unlikely, since Italian police have never investigated the case. At one time, she only provided her Russian colleagues with recordings of telephone conversations conducted by the thieves - Tariel Oniani (Taro) and Merab Dzhangveladze (Merab Sukhumsky). In 2012, during conversations, they discussed their protracted war with the clan of “Ded Khasan” and proposed to “annul” it. And after the murder in 2013, they rejoiced at what happened.

In addition, in 2013, as a source in Russian law enforcement agencies told Rosbalt, the Italian authorities put seven thieves in law on the Interpol wanted list, as well as a criminal “authority” close to Artur Asatryan, David Kazaryan.

Arthur Asatryan is the founder of the Danvesta company, which owns hundreds of shopping pavilions in Moscow. In addition, the commercial structure is engaged in construction, manages the Bogorodsky and Panorama shopping centers, owns the Cityman taxi service, the Sergiev Posad flour mill, is a distributor of Nortex drinks, the Shelkovka farm, and also produces ready-made meals and desserts. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Asatryan was the 100% owner of the company until October 30, 2015. Now 10% of it belongs to its general director Manvel Hovhannisyan, and 90% to Lusina Kazaryan.

Yegiya Asatryan, according to official data, is engaged in the construction of real estate in the Kaluga region, trading in products and providing tourism services in the Moscow region.

The main asset of the Avilon Group of Companies is a network of dealership centers of premium brands (Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Bentley, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, etc.). The group also includes Avtologistika, the development company European Real Estate Company, and car leasing for taxis Salt.

Over the past few years, Viktor Baturin’s creditors, including the Federal Tax Service, Rosselkhozbank, and for some time now the A1 structures of Mikhail Fridman, have been trying in vain to collect debts from him. Baturin has long been declared bankrupt, and court-appointed financial manager Erentsen Manzheev is searching for his assets. Manzheev’s investigation revealed many inconsistencies between the stated actions and real facts around the transfer of shares of the well-known Inteko CJSC, which was created by Baturin’s brother and sister in the 90s, distributing shares among themselves in equal shares. Then Victor Baturin got an unsuccessful divorce and gave his 25% to his ex-wife (and she sold it to Elena), but the story of the remaining 25% is the most interesting. Brother and sister made many official statements about the fate of these shares, of which no one can understand how they were able to pass to Elena Baturina (she has 100% ownership). Elena mysteriously received 25% of Victor’s shares for free, just before a series of large transactions for which she earned almost $1 billion. This is formalized by an agreement in which her brother’s signature is obviously forged, which has already been proven by two independent graphological examinations. Manzheev, in the interests of creditors, acts in several lawsuits at once to prove that Elena Baturina still owes her brother money, which he, in turn, owes the state and creditors. Well, Elena Baturina in one of the European courts (in which the process is being conducted solely because of her permanent residence outside her homeland) stated that Manzheev himself has long been persecuted for offenses in Russia, including for allegedly trying to illegally gain access to Baturina’s money.

How Avilon and Gref “ate” the car market

Avilon is laying claim to the assets of the troubled car dealer Genser. Did Gref help Varshavsky and Avagumyan capture the market?

Another Russian car dealer is leaving the market. The Genser company has accumulated 12 billion rubles in debt and is beginning to terminate contracts with suppliers, reports a correspondent for The Moscow Post.

Russian Capital, MKB and VTB are ready to file bankruptcy claims. However, the key creditor is Sberbank, which, without filing an appeal to the court, is already thinking about how to “seize” the assets. In particular, according to market rumors, he is going to merge the assets of Genser with another car dealer, Rolf, in exchange for a stake in the combined company.

Sergei Sobyanin launched Troika backwards

The potential participation of the adviser to the vice-mayor of Moscow in the tender for organizing a loyalty system for the Moscow Metro is already raising suspicions. Perhaps that is why the second “People’s Card” was created - to ward off suspicion? The second is headed by Ilya Korolev. It belongs to Rostam Khumoyan. Korolev also previously headed the third “People’s Card”, which is not listed anywhere in its relations with the “City”. It is interesting that previously it was Moscow Taxi Company LLC - a project of Salt LLC. Salt LLC is part of the Avilon holding of Kamo Avagumyan and Alexander Varshavsky. And this is where the fun begins...

Prosecutor's shoulder?

Kamo Avagumyan is known for his connections. He has been the official representative of the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia in Russia since 2008 and has since become close friends with Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika. Yes, they came together so closely that their business was practically intertwined into a single ball! For example, Avagumyan is associated with the Cyprus offshore company Amiensa Holdings. He, in turn, owns 21.25% of the Greek hotel Pomegranate Wellness Spa. Yuri Chaika’s son Artem Chaika and former wife of Deputy Prosecutor General Olga Lopatina own similar shares in it. This, perhaps, is what they call “strong friendship”?

Alexander Varshavsky entered the kitchen

As follows from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, in October 2017, Akita JSC (owned by Cypriot Maxbond Ltd, the company is associated with the owner of the Avilon group, Alexander Varshavsky) became the owner of Moscow Azhur LLC. Before this, the structure belonged to Igor Akopdzhanyan, the company’s activities are related to the restaurant business.

A premium fish restaurant will open in Moscow

The owner of the Avilon group, which is developing a network of Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Ferrari dealership centers, Alexander Varshavsky went into the restaurant business. By the end of this year, it is planned to open his first premium establishment, Assunta Madre, in Moscow, which will become part of the international network.

According to Kommersant’s interlocutor familiar with the project, Assunta Madre Moscow will have about 120 seats, average bill is approximately 7 thousand rubles, opening is planned for December 2017.

The United States became interested in the inhabitants of an elite house in Manhattan - “influential Russians” who formed a 20-apartment “enclave”

Powerful Russians, many of whom were connected to each other in their homeland, have purchased more than twenty apartments in the luxurious Time Warner Center skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan, creating an entire enclave there, writes The New York Times. The newspaper's journalists devoted a series of articles to the inhabitants of this elite two-tower building, understanding the sources of funds for such purchases.

Big money is attracted to living in New York

Last Sunday, The New York Times published an article, or rather the result of a detailed journalistic investigation by its correspondents Louise Story and Stephanie Saul, entitled “Foreign Capital Flows into New York's Luxury Real Estate.”

As the authors found, this capital belongs to “government officials and their closest employees from Russia, Colombia, Malaysia, China, Kazakhstan and Mexico,” who, when buying extremely expensive apartments in Manhattan, “are asked few questions due to US laws that promote the movement of money mainly of unknown origin through shell companies.”

The end of the fairy tale about “Avilon”, or everyone to come out of the darkness

The Independence car dealer is losing one supplier after another, they say the unfavorable market situation is to blame. Meanwhile, Avilon remains afloat and is not even averse to acquiring the “remains” of its competitor.

As a MorningNews correspondent reports, another supplier refused to deal with the Independence dealer. This time it was the Volvo automaker; earlier BMW announced the termination of cooperation with the dealer. The concern said that it has recently received complaints from about 20 customers: according to buyers, the dealer does not give them cars.

Who will sink the Avilon?

The Avilon car dealer, specializing in premium class cars, decided to focus on yachts, reports a MorningNews correspondent. The company will become the exclusive agent of Benetti and Astondoa yachts in Russia, but plans to cooperate with other manufacturers. This desire for luxury and high-class owners is not surprising. After all, if you believe rumors on the Internet, Alexander Varshavsky and Kamo Avagumyan are acquainted with both high-ranking security officials and authoritative bandits.

Co-owners of the Major car dealer are investing in livestock farming

The founders of the second largest Russian car dealer Major, Pavel Abrosimov and Dmitry Kanareikin, created a project in agriculture. According to Kommersant, their company Shulgino acquired a dairy farm for 1.7 thousand heads of cattle in the Volokolamsk district of the Moscow region and plans to invest in the construction of a meat and dairy complex in the region.

How much of a “gelding”?

Avilon is the official dealer of Mercedes-Benz RUS. The New York Motors-Moscow company is a Ford dealer, but this does not prevent it from concluding large contracts for the supply of Mercedes. Forbes magazine included New York Motors-Moscow in its list of the 200 most closed companies in Russia. According to the SKRIN database, the founder of one of the main suppliers of Mercedes for special services is New York Motors Corp, registered in the state of New Jersey. American business registers show that one of the company's co-owners is Alexander Varshavsky.

Forbes reported that Varshavsky, who had long settled in America, had already retired and handed over control of the automobile business to Andrei Pavlovich, who heads Avilon and Panavto. Pavlovich did not respond to an official request from Novaya Gazeta and did not confirm to us whether Varshavsky no longer has anything to do with the suppliers of Mercedes for Russian government agencies

Alexander Varshavsky does not like the interference of the Hungarian shareholder in the management of Orglot LLC

“Converse-Sport” requests that interim measures be taken on the claim in the form of a ban on making changes to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities: the co-owner of “Orglot” fears that the illegitimate general director will have the right to make any transactions on behalf of the company, including those aimed at withdrawing assets.

47% of Orglot belongs to Converse Sport, 26% to Megatrust Holding Ltd, 25% to Orglot Hungary, 2% is controlled by Roman Paleev. The beneficiaries of Converse-Sport are the structures of the co-owner of the car dealership companies New York Motors - Moscow and Avilon, Alexander Varshavsky (officially 100% of Converse-Sport belongs to the Cypriot KSPT Holding Limited). Half of Gosloto belongs to Alexander Varshavsky?

Since the spring of this year, 49% of Orglot LLC (the operator of the Gosloto lottery) has been controlled by structures close to businessman Alexander Varshavsky, Kommersant writes.

“Previously, the owners of this share were considered to be Rossport employees who worked together with Vyacheslav Fetisov,” an interlocutor at one of the lottery companies told the newspaper. It was Rossport that initiated the Gosloto organization in 2006 and chose the Orglot company as the state lottery operator. According to the contract, Orglot must contribute at least 50% of its income to the prize fund, 15% to finance the federal target program "Development physical culture and sports in Russian Federation for 2006-2015." 1,874 have already been transferred for these purposes

The son of the beloved mafioso of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, Artur Asatryan, bought the champignon business from the Varshavsky car dealer.

A completely non-core asset was shared between entrepreneur Alexander Varshavsky and the family of Artur Asatryan, whom experts consider a crowned thief in law nicknamed Pipo. Asatryan's name was mentioned in connection with the murder in 2013 of the leader of the Russian underworld Aslan Usoyan (Grandfather Hasan). Pipo's son Yegiya Asatryan recently became the owner of ten shares in three agricultural projects owned by the owner of the Avilon Group of Companies, Alexander Varshavsky. The strangest thing is that previously none of the participants in the deal showed interest in the production of milk and meat. Avilon controls a network of car dealerships selling premium cars, Pipo is the owner of the largest network of street kiosks in the Russian capital, whose interests are lobbied by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

Yegiya Asatryan became the owner of 10% in Agroferma LLC, Agro-Invest LLC, and Agrogrib LLC between July and September of this year. All three companies were created by the Cypriot Maxbond Ltd, created by Alexander Varshavsky to implement projects in agriculture. This year Agro-invest launched the first stage of a greenhouse complex in the Kaluga region on 20 hectares for the production of cucumbers and tomatoes. The company plans to expand the area to 80 hectares and invest 12.5 billion rubles. "Agroferma" in the same region intends to build a dairy complex for 5 thousand heads of dairy herd and a processing plant with a capacity of more than 20 thousand tons of raw milk per year. The cost of the project is more than 1.6 billion rubles. Agrogrib was created to build a champignon production facility in the Tula region for 9 billion rubles.

Arthur Asatryan is the beneficiary of the Danvesta company, which owns hundreds of shopping pavilions in Moscow. According to Danvesta itself, indicated on its website, it is engaged in construction, manages the Bogorodsky and Panorama shopping centers, the Cityman taxi service, the Sergiev Posad flour mill, the distributor of Nortex drinks, the Shelkovka farm, as well as produces ready-made meals and desserts.

According to Armenian media, Artur Asatryan is also known as mafioso Don Pipo. According to Kommersant, in 2013, the Italian authorities put him on the international wanted list in connection with the murder of thief in law Aslan Usoyan, known among Pipo’s colleagues under the nickname Ded Hasan.

Neither the search nor the crisis prevented Asatryan from increasing the network of Danvesty kiosks to several hundred, including thanks to the cooperation program between the mayors of Moscow and Yerevan. The street trading reform launched by Sergei Sobyanin and the scandalous demolitions of pavilions during the “Night of the Long Buckets” were beneficial to Danveste. Some of the places that the company's kiosks occupied in the center of Moscow were at some point put up for auction, but shortly before the competition these lots were removed from the auction, and the mayor's office extended the previous contracts with the thief Pipo's company.

Moreover, the company of the mafioso Asatryan turned out to be an almost monopoly producer of the new, “European” style kiosks that Mayor Sobyanin introduced in the city. Danvesta CEO Manvel Hovhannisyan is a member of the public council of the city’s trade department. According to this department, by the end of 2015, Danvesta retained 142 kiosks on the city streets.

On the Danvesta website, Artur Asatryan is listed as president and founder. According to other sources, the network was created back in the early 1990s by co-owners of Vitas Bank Andrei Lisin and Yuri Kazaryan. Asatryan owned 100% of the company until October 30, 2015. Now 10% of it belongs to its CEO Manvel Hovhannisyan, 90% belongs to Lusina Kazaryan. At the Danvest reception they confirmed that Yegiya Asatryan is the son of Arthur Asatryan; they did not respond to a request about his participation in Mr. Varshavsky’s projects. The representative of Avilon also did not comment on the partnership with Mr. Asatryan.

The main asset of the Avilon Group of Companies is a network of dealership centers of premium brands (Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Bentley, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, etc.). The group also includes Autologistics, the development company European Real Estate Company, and car leasing for taxis Salt. The revenue of Avilon AG JSC in 2015 was 45.6 billion rubles, net profit was 1.1 billion rubles

Yegiya Asatryan directly owns Mars LLC (manages and builds real estate in the Kaluga region), Avantazh LLC near Moscow (food trade, tourism and construction) and Moscow EAS-Group LLC (food production). He also owns the Moscow trading company Danvesta, which until October 30, 2015 belonged to Artur Asatryan. "Mars", "Avantage" and "Danvesta" received 56 million rubles in total revenue and about 5.1 million rubles in net loss in 2015. Financial statements"EAS-Group" is not represented in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

The product market has other reputable participants. The Agro-Region company is going to invest 2.5 billion rubles in the coming year into a complex for growing champignons in the Moscow region. The final beneficiary of Agro-region is the son of the Prosecutor General of Russia Yuri Chaika, a former advisor to the governor of the Moscow region on a voluntary basis, Igor Chaika.

Artur Asatryan is suspected of organizing the murder

The Information and Public Relations Department of the Armenian Foreign Ministry confirms information about the detention of five Armenian citizens in Italy. Arthur Asatryan, David Ghazaryan, Vahe Budagyan, Mihran Mkrtchyan and Tigran Gyurjyan were arrested on June 14 on suspicion of organizing the murder.

The Lazio Regional Police Operations and Intelligence Unit notified the Armenian Embassy in Italy that the above-mentioned persons were detained at the time of the commission of the crime.

Since none of those arrested were registered consularly at the Armenian Embassy in Rome, the country’s foreign ministry finds it difficult to answer what exactly the detainees were doing in Italy.

According to a source in law enforcement agencies, a native of Etchmiadzin, Artur Asatryan, is known in the criminal community by the nickname Pipo and is not just a criminal authority, but a crowned thief in law. According to some reports, the reason for the arrest of the Armenians was the murder organized by Pipo of one of the members of the criminal group of thief in law Armen Harutyunyan, nicknamed Armen Kanevskoy.

Several years ago, Pipo was forced to leave Etchmiadzin due to problems with the then Deputy Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Manvel Grigoryan. The last time Pipo was in Armenia was after the presidential elections.
