20 kg baggage allowance. What is the allowable weight of luggage on the plane? Useful information

Today, air travel is the most convenient and fastest way to travel. However, even those who fly not for the first time often face a number of specific questions. Some of the most common are related to the transportation of luggage - how many kg of luggage can be carried on an airplane for free, what norm is considered acceptable and how many kilograms can be taken on an airplane per person.

Before boarding the plane, any passenger will have to go through the baggage weighing procedure. Only some things that a person takes with him to the aircraft cabin are not taken into account - this is a handbag, phone, laptop, crutches, a wheelchair and a cane. Each company has its own established rules, and if the luggage weighs more than a certain norm, then the passenger will have to pay according to the tariffs.

How much can one person carry for free?

Most airlines accept the following fares for transportation free baggage:

  • Economy class passengers can carry up to 20 kg;
  • Business class passengers up to 30 kg;
  • When buying a first class ticket, you are allowed to carry up to 40 kg.

Usually this rate is calculated from the total weight of baggage and hand luggage. But some companies do not count hand luggage when calculating, so you should check the rules with your carrier. It is worth remembering that these are average values, the norm is set by a particular company.

You should also take into account the length of your baggage. For economy class passengers, baggage must not exceed 158 cm, and for first and business class no more than 203 cm.

In addition to weight control in airlines, there is also an assessment of baggage by the number of pieces. Also an important condition is the choice of class when buying a ticket, since the more expensive and higher the class, the more loyal the conditions for the transportation of things.

To successfully transport your own things, you should consider some rules:

  1. Baggage weight cannot be combined. Suppose two people are flying and carrying luggage in the amount of two bags, the norm should not exceed 32 kg, one bag weighs 35 kg, and the other 30, for the first bag you will have to pay extra at the rate of 3 extra pounds.
  2. Wheels, pockets and other accessories of the bag itself are necessarily taken into account when determining the weight, and not just what is in it.
  3. Transportation of non-standard luggage must be coordinated with the airline, some things are allowed to be carried for a fee, some for free. For example, skis or a bike are usually calculated as one piece without taking into account weight and length.

Free baggage allowance per airline

Transaero

Transaero uses the following principles for determining the weight of baggage: the first group - all flights, except for transatlantic ones, the second group - it includes destinations to America, Brazil and Canada. In the first group, up to 20 kg of free baggage can be carried by passengers on a Tourist ticket, up to 25 kg can be carried on an airplane in Economy class, up to 35 kg can be carried free of charge on a business ticket, up to 45 kg when buying an imperial class ticket.

If we talk about the second group, then there are two free luggage places and weighing no more than 25 kg for tourist and economy classes, for business class tickets, two baggage pieces of 32 kg are installed, imperial class passengers are allowed to carry baggage in the amount of three pieces weighing no more than 32 kg each.

If baggage exceeds the established number of kilograms, then the excess fee will be from 100 to 150 dollars, depending on the weight.

If you are going to fly on S7 flights, you must take into account the following rules: economy class passengers are allowed to carry hand luggage weighing no more than 10 kg, paid baggage - no more than 23 kg, in economy class Flexible hand luggage should not exceed 10 kg, and baggage allowance is limited to 23 kg.

When buying a ticket for the basic class, you are allowed to take hand luggage for two pieces with a total weight of not more than 15 kg, and one free piece of baggage weighing no more than 32 kg is also provided.

If the weight of one piece of baggage exceeds 23 kg, then the passenger will have to pay an extra fee of 25 euros on average, and if the baggage weighs more than 32 kg, then you need to pay about 50 euros.

Aeroflot

Aeroflot has the following baggage allowances: when buying a business class ticket, you can carry 2 pieces of baggage no more than 32 kg each, comfort class and premium tickets provide for two pieces no more than 23 kg each, and in economy tickets it is allowed to carry 1 piece no more than 23 kg.

On an Aeroflot plane, you can take hand luggage weighing 10 kg for economy class passengers and 15 kg for business class.

If, when transporting baggage with Aeroflot, the weight exceeds 23 kg, but not more than 32 kg, then the passenger will have to pay 50 euros for flights within Russia and 100 dollars for flights to a number of other destinations. If the baggage weight exceeds 32 kg, but not more than 50 kg, then the passenger must pay 100 euros for flights within the country and 150 dollars for other destinations.

Quite often, even experienced tourists have a question: what kind of cargo can be carried on an airplane? What weight and dimensions of luggage are allowed? How to save money on a flight, not pay for your luggage, or what to do if your backpack is lost. We will consider all these issues in detail in the article.

International transportation rules do not regulate clear baggage allowances (each carrier has the right to independently change the figures within the established rules, ticket price and aircraft type). Baggage is not always checked out individually for each passenger. There are two transportation systems:

  1. Weight.
  2. Local.

The suitcase must be checked in at the counter, after which it is sent to the luggage compartment

Weight system

This principle of transportation is relevant in almost all CIS countries and Asia, as well as for some carriers in the European Union. It allows you to carry a certain amount of baggage with you for free:

  • in economy class, the weight of a suitcase should not exceed twenty kilograms, and its dimensions - 203 centimeters (meaning the sum of length, height and width);
  • in business class, the weight allowed for transportation reaches 30 kilograms with the same bag dimensions.

If your baggage exceeds any set parameter by at least one point, then the carrier may require you to pay for the second “seat” at the domestic rate.

According to the official rules of air carriers, each child under the age of two years is guaranteed free transportation baggage weighing up to 10 kilograms. In this case, the child may not have a separate ticket (flies in the same place with his parents). Children over the age of 12 are entitled to the "adult" free shipping rate.

Such a system is quite convenient, since the number of your bags is not limited, and when traveling together, the weight is added up. If the two of you took an economy class ticket, then there is an opportunity to take with you one travel bag weighing 40 kilograms, two bags of 15 and 25 kilograms, or three bags with a total weight of up to 43 kg (do not forget about the dimensions).

Note: regular customers of airlines can receive a bonus from it and increase the weight of the transported cargo by 10-15 kilograms.

It is very important to monitor the absence of overload. The policy of different airlines can be very different in this regard. With an overweight in kilograms, two carriers alone can turn a blind eye to this, and the latter issue a full bill for excess weight (rather rather big). Therefore, be sure to ask in advance about the rules and regulations for carrying luggage on an airplane: they are usually indicated or in itinerary receipt or on the company's website.

Luggage enters the compartment along the conveyor belt

Local system

The weight system is quite convenient, but it is slowly fading into oblivion and is being replaced by a local one. Initially, this system worked in the USA and Canada, now it has spread to the South and Central America, Europe, Australia and even Russia (Aeroflot recently switched to it). Here, the transported mass is also divided depending on the class acquired:

  • in the economy you can take one place with a bag weighing up to 23 kg;
  • the business has two pieces of luggage weighing 32 kg each (64 kg in total).

Note: when flying to the US and Canada, carriers often provide two pieces of cargo in economy class. Check this information in advance.

If you take advantage of the carriers bonus program, you can get yourself an extra seat.

One of the main features of the place system is that the weight of the bags does not add up. That is, if you are traveling together in economy class and carrying two bags weighing 25 and 15 kilograms, then you will be forced to pay for an overload of 2 kilograms (this will be considered as third place). Very often, the cost of a third place is comparable to the cost of half or a whole flight ticket, especially for low-cost airlines. The same situation is with independent travel- if you have two places of 23 kilograms each, then you will not be able to put two bags of 30 and 10 kilograms on them.

IN different airlines baggage rules may vary

Note: Trade unions in many countries prohibit movers from lifting suitcases heavier than 32 kilograms. Having loaded 33 kg, you will not only pay extra for a new place, but also face a serious problem of cargo delivery.

The requirements for a suitcase in the local system are more stringent - by the sum of the three sides, it should not be more than 158 cm.

Oversized baggage

If the cargo you are transporting does not fall within the above parameters, then you will have to register it as oversized. According to the rules for carrying baggage on an airplane, oversized baggage is considered:

  1. A suitcase or bag with a weight of more than 32 kilograms and a sum of measurements of more than 203 cm.
  2. Various sports equipment (skis, surf and snowboard boards, trekking poles, etc.).
  3. Musical instruments (guitars, trombones, accordions, etc.).
  4. Various climatic and household appliances (air conditioners, washing machines, freezers, refrigerators, TVs).

The transportation of any oversized cargo must be discussed with the airline in advance - if you arrive at the airport an hour before boarding and without warning, there is a high probability that it will simply not be accepted.

Note: the airline may refuse to transport you oversized. There can be many reasons for this - the lack of free space, the wrong type of aircraft (the cargo may simply not pass through the loading hatches).

Oversize is always paid according to the company's tariffs (it does not fall under the concept of free space). Although some companies in winter time allow free transportation of ski equipment, thus luring customers.

Transportation of fragile luggage

Airline Policy Allows Fragile Baggage aircraft. To do this, at the time of delivery at the front desk, you must declare that it is fragile. An airport employee will stick a special sticker on the suitcase, and the cargo will be delivered to the luggage compartment manually, and not on the elevator. At the same time, the airline is not legally responsible for its integrity. Therefore, it is recommended to take fragile things into the cabin, making them out as hand luggage.

Properly folded luggage will quickly pass the check

Restrictions

Most airlines prohibit the following substances from being carried in the hold:

  1. Radioactive (note that absolutely all cargo is tested for radioactivity, so if you buy a souvenir and it turns out to be radioactive, then you will have serious problems).
  2. Explosives (including cartridges, gunpowder, sparklers, fireworks, firecrackers, etc.).
  3. Highly flammable (no lighters, refill bottles, gasoline, solvents).
  4. Various gases (self-defense sprays and, in some cases, deodorants).
  5. Toxic, oxidizing and poisonous.

It is also forbidden to carry weapons on airplanes (unless there is a special locker in the luggage compartment) and dangerous items that can be used to attack. When transporting weapons, special permits are required, which are issued at customs.

Rules for the carriage of hand luggage

The passenger must distinguish between what is "baggage" and "hand luggage". Baggage is a suitcase that is checked in at the airport upon boarding. Hand luggage is a backpack or bag that you can take with you. The weight of baggage and the weight of luggage on the plane per person do not add up.

There are the following rules:

  • In business, luggage dimensions are no more than 115 cm (three dimensions), weight - 15 kg.
  • In the economy - 115 cm, 10 kg.

Note: in most cases, you can take additional things with you: a book, a camera, a smartphone, a laptop, a tablet, outerwear, an umbrella, a foldable baby carriage, baby food, medicines, etc. A complete list of these things can be found in the Rules of Carriage of this airline. These things are not summed up in the size-weight of luggage.

Try to take a little less luggage with you than the airline allows. Sometimes problems can begin due to an overweight of even 500 grams. Want to avoid trouble? We will tell you a few nuances:

  • before buying tickets, study the carrier's rules regarding baggage (many low-cost airlines do not include it in the ticket price);
  • having learned how many kilograms you can carry, be sure to weigh your suitcase (this can be done at the nearest post office or on home scales, taking the bag in hand);
  • when reloading, put heavy things in your hand luggage or just take them on board (laptop, camera);
  • things in hand luggage, according to the rules, must be in plastic bags fastened with zippers;
  • if possible, try to arrange your cargo not as luggage, but as luggage (you will save a lot of time during check-in and will not lose your things).

You can take a laptop with you - this is not hand luggage and not luggage

If the cargo is lost

So, you already know how much luggage you can carry on an airplane. Now let's explain what to do if your cargo did not arrive at its destination with you. At the airport, you must receive it on a tag or receipt - it is issued at the point of departure when passing through the counter. If there is no cargo, then you will have to write an application for its search. The airline will have to find it within 3 weeks and return it to you. If there is still no suitcase or it is damaged, then a second application for damages is written. Quite often, carriers (especially from the CIS countries) send a refusal - feel free to take it and go to court. As a result, you will be compensated for moral and material damage.

Note: the airline should deliver your cargo to the specified address, and not force you to drive for it. This is the standard rate, and you do not need to pay for it separately.

In contact with

Passenger transportation, including air transportation, has clear baggage allowances. This is due to safety requirements, in order to avoid overload vehicle. Aircraft baggage regulations are particularly strict, as severely exceeding the weight limit can lead to tragic consequences.

In international practice, there are standards for how many kilograms passengers are allowed to carry. However, each airline independently determines the conditions of carriage and the dimensions of baggage and hand luggage, depending on the type of aircraft, class of service, etc. To avoid an unpleasant surprise at the airport, you need to try to determine the weight of your bags during the training. The rules for carrying baggage on an airplane are usually published on the carrier's website.

How many kg of baggage can I take on a plane

All passengers can carry n-th amount of baggage free of charge. Anything over the limit will require additional payment. At the same time, the allowances for carrying hand luggage and the luggage itself differ. The first includes those things that passengers take into the cabin of the aircraft. To the second - what is rented at check-in in the baggage compartment of the airliner.

In air transportation, two systems of free baggage transportation are accepted:

  • Weight - introduces restrictions on the weight of baggage, how many kg can be taken on board;
  • By the number of seats - limits the number of pieces of luggage.

Weight system

This is a system that sets limits on the weight of all baggage. Airlines operating under this system fix the limit of carried cargo free of charge by one person. The most common restrictions are:

  • Economy class -23 kg;
  • Business class - 32 kg.

A child under 2 years old has a baggage allowance of 10 kg, even if he flies without a separate ticket.

Airlines are developing loyalty programs in which, in addition to various bonuses, the maximum baggage weight has been increased for regular customers.

With a weighing system, it is possible to combine the luggage of two or three passengers. For example, you can take one suitcase for two weighing 30 kg.

By number of pieces of luggage

IN Western countries baggage transportation by the local system is common, it is also used on most flights in Russia. Its essence is that each passenger can carry a limited number of "pieces" of luggage for free:

  • In economy class - 1 or 2 pieces of baggage (depending on the fare), the weight of which is not more than 23 kg and with the sum of the overall dimensions of 158 cm;
  • In business class - 2 or more pieces of baggage, which can weigh no more than 32 kg each, with dimensions of 203 cm.

To determine the dimensions, measure the height, width and length of the "place" and add their values.

The specificity of the system is that the parameters of the places do not add up. If the volume of one is more than the set values, you will have to pay for the excess, even if the limit of the second place has not been exhausted. The same applies to dimensions: if the suitcase big size, even with its light weight, you will have to pay the full price for the extra. place.

Example! 1 suitcase weighs 10 kg, and the second 30 kg. Despite the fact that their total weight does not exceed the total limit (23 + 23 kg = 46 kg), you will need to pay for the overweight of a 30-kilogram suitcase.

In addition, in countries with a developed trade union movement, there is a ban on loaders lifting more than 32 kg of weight. Those. if the luggage weighs even 33 kg, then you won’t be able to get off with an overweight fee, it will simply not be accepted on the plane.

hand luggage

Before the flight, you should also find out the rules for carrying hand luggage on the plane established by this company. The average size of luggage that can be taken on a plane is 15 kg (business) with dimensions up to 115 cm.

Carry-on baggage usually includes important documents, gadgets, a book to read, essentials, medicines, outerwear. If you are taking a backpack or a small bag with you on a plane, weigh it first to see if you have exceeded your hand luggage allowance. Otherwise, you will have to put something in your luggage.

The weight of carry-on baggage on an airplane is not considered when measuring the entire cargo carried. The full rules for carrying hand luggage on an airplane must be published on the airline's website.

Important! The standards described above apply to most airlines. However, there are so-called low-cost airlines that use an unconventional transportation system, which allows them to significantly reduce the price of tickets. Such carriers limit the weight of baggage allowed for transportation and its quantity as much as possible. Flying on such flights, people experience inconvenience, but they pay much less for a ticket.

Charter flights are also a special type of flight, when the company chartering the aircraft (in this case, the tour operator) itself determines how much weight passengers can carry for free.

Excess baggage

Taking with him more than it should be, the passenger must understand that the extra pounds will have to be paid. If an overweight cannot be avoided, it is better to find out in advance what procedures are adopted in a particular airline: somewhere a small overload is allowed, and somewhere it is categorically not allowed. At the same time, the tariffs of carriers for the weight of luggage on the plane per person, exceeding the norm, can reach impressive amounts. It is better to check in excess baggage at the airport in advance, as it will take time for weighing, payment and clearance. If there is a lot of such baggage, then it is drawn up in a separate document as unaccompanied and sent on a separate cargo flight. The passenger will be able to receive it at the destination under a special air waybill.

Oversized baggage

It includes luggage on the plane, whose dimensions exceed the established sum of three dimensions. Musical instruments, large sports equipment and equipment, a baby carriage, household appliances, etc. are considered oversized. If the cargo is valuable, it is recommended to carry it as hand luggage or with the purchase of an additional ticket. This point must be agreed with the airline in advance. It will take time for the carrier to accept a passenger with skis or, for example, a double bass.

If you bought a separate ticket for oversized cargo, this does not increase allowable weight luggage on the plane, which you can carry for free.

Important! The air carrier has the right to refuse transportation of oversized cargo. There may be no free space on the aircraft, or the type of vessel may not be suitable (loading doors are too small).

Any oversize is paid additionally at a separate rate. However, it happens that on planes flying to places of seasonal recreation ( ski resorts, diving, etc.), airlines offer free transportation of sports equipment.

What is prohibited in checked baggage

The baggage rules also define the list of items and substances that are not allowed for transportation:

  • explosives (explosives, cartridges, fireworks, sparklers, gas and alcohol burners, etc.);
  • firearms;
  • flammable substances (gasoline, diesel fuel, solvents, gasoline lighters, etc.);
  • gases and liquids under pressure (pepper spray, sprays, deodorants, etc.);
  • toxins, poisons, acids;
  • radioactive objects and substances;
  • dangerous items that can be used to attack (pocket knives, straight razors, scissors, etc.). However, they can be transferred to the luggage compartment.

Checked baggage may contain trophy melee or throwing weapons (for example, a saber, sword or crossbow). However, they must be specially issued, and the passenger needs permission to carry them.

A complete list of prohibited items is determined by legislative acts approved by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

Transportation of fragile luggage

Among the free baggage allowance, fragile items can be carried on the plane if they fit within the allowable weight limits. They can even be handed over to the luggage compartment, having warned the airport employee about this at check-in. In this case, an identification mark will be stuck on the cargo, and the loaders will bring it to the luggage compartment with special care. However, the airline is not responsible for the safety of baggage, even if it has the status of "fragile". Therefore, it is recommended to take it on board as hand luggage.

If the cargo is lost

Even if a passenger, knowing how many kg he can take with him on a plane, weighed his luggage, paid for excess weight, issued an invoice for oversized cargo, he is still not protected from losing luggage. Bags and suitcases are lost during loading and unloading, they can be mistakenly sent on another flight.

Algorithm of actions in case of lost luggage:

  1. Should be on hand baggage tag or a receipt (it is usually issued upon boarding);
  2. It is necessary to contact the baggage tracing point and write an application for search;
  3. The airline must within 21 days to find the loss and return it free of charge to the specified address. If the client is offered to go for the luggage himself or pay for the delivery costs, this is a violation of the law;
  4. If at the end of the three-week period, the baggage was not found, or it was returned damaged, you need to write an application for damages;
  5. If the company refuses to compensate for the damage, you need to get their written refusal, with which to go to court.

Baggage allowance: main rules

So, in order for the trip to go smoothly, you should remember the basic rules:

  • Try to get a suitcase or travel bag of a standard size. Make sure that its dimensions fit into international standards;
  • Check your carrier's baggage allowance in advance. Pay special attention to this issue when flying with LowCost;
  • Knowing how much you can take with you on an airplane, it is better to take a couple of kilograms less;
  • When flying with small children, you can safely demand that 10 kg be included in their luggage;
  • If possible, fly light with hand luggage only. You will spend much less time landing and landing, and get rid of the unpleasant hassle of losing luggage.

Video

It is well known that the aircraft is one of the fastest and most reliable means of transport. Flight safety is carried out through the introduction of certain rules and international standards that control the norms of flights. The control of the allowed baggage weight per person is one of the important principles of aircraft flight safety.

Restrictions on baggage carried during flights sometimes put a person in a deadlock, you either have to overpay a tidy sum to airlines for exceeding the weight limit, or not to take much-needed personal items with you on the road.

The baggage itself, which the passenger carries, is conditionally divided into 3 categories.

Before check-in for a flight, you should familiarize yourself with the rules of transportation of the airline, clarify all the details of the baggage rules of interest. This will help save your nerves and time.

General rules for carrying baggage on an airplane

If you would like to know and also get to know general rules transportation, you can read an article about it on our portal.

Weight restrictions on luggage are set by the airline depending on the direction of flight and the class of service chosen by passengers during air transportation. Until recently, all companies carrying passengers allowed free baggage allowance with a total weight of no more than 20 kg (in business class - 30 kg).

On this moment new rules for the transport of goods and personal belongings. So, one passenger is given exactly 1 piece of luggage, even if the weight of the items carried is less than the established norm. In other words, it will not be possible to hand over two 10 kg suitcases to the registration department. For such luxury, you will have to pay a substantial amount of money.

The weight system for the transportation of personal belongings, luggage and hand luggage is used by airlines of the CIS countries, Europe, and Asia. According to the rules of such a system, each passenger has the right to carry the following number of items (in kilograms) without additional payment:

  • in economy class - 20 kg per person;
  • business class - allows you to carry up to 30 kg of baggage per passenger;
  • if a child under the age of 2 years will fly with you on the plane, then an additional 10 kg of baggage is allowed to be carried. Passengers with small children can easily use this advantage.

Sometimes airlines bonus programs, whose participants have a privileged right to transport additional things. What else is a good weight transportation system? It, for example, allows family members, friends or relatives who are traveling on the same flight to combine their luggage. Often a married couple or people who know each other well fly together. Then it becomes convenient to fold and check in several luggage as one common.

Among the shortcomings of the weight system of baggage allowance can be noted - an overpayment even for a slight excess. The airline determines how much the passenger must pay extra for each extra kilogram of baggage carried. It is for this reason that people often refuse flights that offer a weight system for transporting things.

Quantitative baggage system

Installed quantitative system air transportation rules allow the passenger to carry baggage strictly according to the number of seats, depending on the class of service. In economy class, it is allowed to occupy 1 piece for luggage, business and luxury class passengers are given 2 pieces for this purpose.

But there are still weight restrictions, they are discussed in detail in the table below.

When the total weight of the carried baggage and carry-on baggage does not exceed 10 kg, the passenger is allowed to occupy an unlimited number of seats, of course within reasonable limits. For example, if you are flying in economy class using the quantitative transportation system, and general luggage is less than 10 kg, it is allowed to carry it in 3 suitcases, thus occupying 3 places.

Bonus promotions that are sometimes held will provide an opportunity to take an extra 1-2 places for luggage. The rules for participation in such profitable events should be clarified with the management of the airline.

If you compare the weight and quantity system of transportation, then you need to use the one that will be convenient for you. The air transportation system by the number of seats makes it possible to carry baggage several kilograms more than weight, but the price of a ticket can be more expensive.

When using a quantitative transportation system, it is important to consider the size of luggage. The width, height and length of the suitcase in total should not exceed 158 cm, the weight system increases this figure to 203 cm.

Rules for the carriage of hand luggage

Weight of carry-on baggage various airlines ranges from 5 to 12 kg, each passenger is provided with 1 seat for this purpose. securities, money, bank cards belong to personal belongings, you can not worry about their transportation, since this is not hand luggage. In the cabin, you can also carry items of clothing with you (a coat, a jacket, a raincoat in the passenger’s hand are equated to his personal belongings, it is not necessary to hand them over to the cargo compartment).

When transporting things to the cabin of the vehicle, it is necessary to take into account not only the weight of hand luggage, but also its dimensions. The width, length, height of the luggage carried inside must comply with the established standards, otherwise, the airline will prohibit the carriage of hand luggage.

Rules for the carriage of certain types of goods

Carriage of baggage that does not meet the recommended dimensions is carried out with the consent of the airline's management. If a person wants to hand over a home theater system, sports equipment weighing more than 32 kg, a refrigerator to the cargo hold, they should inform about this in advance. Not every aircraft, due to its design, can carry such cargo.

What to do when transporting breakable dishes, glassware, dinnerware or an expensive vase? In such situations, the passenger must indicate in advance during check-in that the items carried may break on the way. The service personnel will mark the cargo with a special sticker. But if the thing still breaks, the airline disclaims responsibility for what happened. Therefore, fragile or valuable items and gold jewelry are best transported in the passenger compartment.

What is forbidden to be transported on airplanes?

There is a ban on the transportation of certain goods, which significantly increases the safety of flights. Whichever country you are flying to, the following items will not be allowed on aircraft:

  • corrosive (caustic) and destructive substances - devices that contain alkali, mercury, acid;
  • gases in any form (poisonous, flammable, compressed, liquefied) are strictly forbidden to be transported in airliners;
  • solid or liquid substances that can catch fire (matches, gasoline, lighter, varnish, paints, etc.);
  • explosive substances - cartridges from any weapon, pyrotechnic products, firecrackers, detonators, weapons;
  • materials with increased radioactivity, poisons and toxic substances are also strictly prohibited;
  • bags, briefcases in which a signaling device is built in.

These items and substances cannot be transported either in the cargo compartment of the aircraft or in its cabin.

Prohibited substances and items

With regard to hand luggage and personal belongings carried by passengers, the prohibition applies to means that can be equated with edged weapons, or are such. No airline will allow you to carry in the cabin: knives, swords, sabers, scissors, razors. Sometimes the attendants can even confiscate a nail file from a passenger. All these measures are taken as a precaution.

If you are going to fly on an airplane, you should not think that the airline invented the rules for limiting the weight of transported baggage in order to increase profits from air transportation, or to cause inconvenience to passengers. Weight control during transportation is designed to protect passengers from emergencies, because flying on an overloaded aircraft is always a risk, and an unjustified one at that.
