In the end we moved to another room . As soon as you walk in, you immediately feel a terrible smoky smell. And there was also a type of sofa, so it generally stank of urine, just like the decorations on the bed! We just put it all together and didn’t touch it the entire vacation.
The cleaning in our room was 3+. Every day they gave out water, changed the towels in the bathroom (which, by the way, were already very tired), washed the floors (except under the bed), and gave out almost all the things like shampoos, soap, toothbrushes... Beach towels were never changed in 10 days , and the bed linen was never changed.
The territory is large, beautiful palm trees, ficus trees, grass, bridges, a small lake. But on the very first day, when we were sitting by the pool late in the evening, we saw a rat! Not the most pleasant first impression. But then we met them often...
Pool. For some reason, the hotel advises swimming only there, and not swimming in the sea) So the hotel has 2 swimming pools, near the main building where the reception is, and near the other buildings, closer to the sea.
On the very first evening we saw how wonderful it is to clean.... they just throw bleach in there with huge ladles. There is no water purification system. There is green mud at the bottom.
In the second pool the picture is even cooler; even small fish swim in the children's pool! and of course there is also dirty water and a dirty green-brown bottom.
The beach is endless! Nice sand, cool sea with waves. By the way, the waves are every day, sometimes strong, sometimes a little weaker. As the guides said, swimming is strictly until 18.00, then the police will fine you. There are very few sunbeds and umbrellas. There is always a red flag hanging on the beach and a guard/lifeguard stationed there. But this is not a problem with the hotel, but rather with local customs. In China it is not customary to use it at all English language. We vacationed at the end of March
We rested at the end of March. We checked in quickly, left a deposit of 600 yuan for 8 days at the reception, and this money was returned upon check-out. We had a double room, we were placed in a 3-storey villa, which went directly to the pool. The pool is clean, I myself saw how it was cleaned every night. IN the rooms were cleaned every day. Regarding food, only breakfast was included in the price of the tour; at breakfast we ate our fill, but some food has a specific taste. There were fruits, pastries, vegetables, and meat, there was enough of everything. Only non-natural juices: (The hotel area was cleaned up; upon request, they brought a knife to our room for free (to peel fruit), an iron, etc. We met local guides, went on excursions only with them, they are much cheaper! They will help and about dinner, they will tell you which restaurant you can go to. You can also buy a SIM card from them for 20 yuan. You can have dinner for two for 60 yuan or 300... the choice is yours. On average, we spent 120 for dinner for two -150 yuan! If you try all sorts of exotic dishes, then count on 300-400 yuan... And it’s not a fact that you will like all this. I advise you to try fruit ice cream, it costs 10-15 yuan, they will make a huge ice cream out of any fruit, very tasty! You can try it on the street, if you go in a straight line from the main building downwards, street trading begins there after 8 pm. The beer there is cheap (on average 4-5 yuan for 0.6 l)! We tried pineapple beer, coffee beer beer is very tasty! You have to bargain everywhere! The prices are unreal! Usually real price 3-4 times less. Their mangoes are very tasty! I don’t recommend buying anything on free excursions to a snake farm, a shark farm, or a pearl factory; everything can be bought much cheaper! The beach is 3-5 minutes away, there are free sun loungers on the beach. Buses No. 25 and 26 stopped near our hotel, which took us to the Edge of the Sky Park and to the Center of Buddhism. If you go in the opposite direction, you can get to Dadonghai and Yalungwei bays and to the center of Sanya, also to Pedestrian street(where are shopping centers and souvenir rows). We had a great time. I really liked it. The guides are very good, responsive, it was a pleasure to communicate with them. I really liked the excursions, they were interesting. We went to a Buddhist park, I really liked it there. I really liked the hotel. The hotel is well located. The only negative about Chinese hotels There is no such food system as all inclusive, they have what is called breakfast in bed. Here's a small minus. The hotel has not been updated for a long time (towels are faded, full of holes, dishes are broken). - Location: a bit far from Sanya (20-30 minutes by taxi, costs 30 yuan, i.e. 150 rubles one way). But you will have to travel, because... problems with food. In a hotel expensive, little variety, and besides, you don’t want to eat it on dirty tablecloths, sorry. We ate at the Russian restaurant "Marina" at the hotel (either by taxi for 10 yuan, or by free bus from the "Marina" itself at 6-7-8 hours, and you can walk back along the shore). - Pegasus guides: terrible, they don’t know anything, they don’t know and don’t want to know. Although they receive salary from our vouchers. Tea is only in bags (and this is in the homeland of tea!). - Airplane: the tour operator Pegasus took us on a Boeing, clearly not intended for such long-distance transportation(refueling in Pakistan, wait 2 hours, plus people like a herring in a barrel, round trip flight delay for 6 and 14 hours respectively). - Conclusions: China is not worth the money. The hotel requires renovation of the rooms. We lived on the first floor and water was constantly dripping somewhere under the floor and preventing us from sleeping. Very hard mattresses on the beds (unaccustomed to neck and back pain) Cleaning was good and regular. There seems to be everything for breakfast and you won’t leave hungry, but there is always a line for eggs, for example, the food is cold, the coffee is also cold and weak, the glasses and cups are plastic, the tables are cleared slowly and there are constantly crumbs on the tablecloths. We took dinner at the hotel once, because... it is expensive. We mostly went to Chinese restaurants for dinner. There is a menu in Russian, prices are reasonable, tasty, large portions. I liked the seafood restaurant DOLPHIN SEAFOOD, where a large portion of shrimp costs 39 yuan, a huge bowl of soup for 4-5 people costs 18 yuan. It is located on the first street from the sea, likeWhen you leave the hotel, go left for 5-10 minutes. We used the maps.me application to search for restaurants with good rating and for independent walks to the city by bus. The beach is really good, you can walk in one direction or the other, the entrance to the sea is smooth, the sand is fine and clean, but as everyone writes, the midge that bites spoils the impression. Why can’t the beach be treated like they do in Dadonghai Bay? I arrived covered in blisters and they still itch unbearably. The nature at the hotel is very beautiful and there is also a huge palm grove on the embankment. This hotel is not for spoiled tourists. The guides work all day at the reception and speak Russian well. Dinner with the guides and at the entrance to the restaurant now costs the same - 100 yuan per person. It takes 25-30 minutes to walk to the supermarket for locals. We went several times, bought cheaper alcohol, instant noodles in buckets for 4-5 yuan, their food prices are not cheap. The Palm Beach Hotel is good value for money for China. Gentlemen, tourists, please do not compare fours in different countries, for China this is an excellent four. The bungalow area of the hotel is just a continuous location for photographs, our tourists are constantly there taking pictures (ponds, fish, bridges, illuminated trees). Yes, the hotel is divided into two areas, the most budget rooms are located in the bungalow area. Do you want a superior room? This means you will live in a building. 3. The hotel is across the road from the beach, you can relax near the pool, and then walk across the road in a swimsuit to the sea. The road is calm, this is generally very atypical Asia (for those who are horrified by the roads of the resorts of Vietnam or Thailand). 4. Although we talked to tourists, many liked the dinners, all markers have different tastes and colors, it’s worth going once to understand whether it’s yours or not. 3. Organizing cleaning in the restaurant at breakfast. Well, they don't have time. Compatriots with the expression "Ewwww!" walk around the restaurant looking for a table without dirty dishes. There are many special tables for cleaning dishes right there. Question: does your pride not allow you to clear away the dishes for someone else and sit at the table you like? Or religion? Keep it simple. 4. There are quite a few umbrellas around the pool. For two weeks, in the second half of November, we vacationed in Hainan at the Palm Beach Resort & Spa 4*. The tour was purchased from the tour operator Tez Tour. The flight there and back is strictly on schedule. True, the time of arrival on the island was not very good; after going through all the formalities at the airport, we arrived at the hotel at 4 o’clock in the morning. The flight from Samara was 8 hours. 20 minutes. and we sat for another 8 hours waiting for check-in, and the Chinese categorically refuse to check in before the allotted time, either for money or for gifts. I don’t say this as a reproach, I know the international rules, but it’s very difficult to wait so long after a sleepless night. As a result, when we checked in, we slept until the evening, so the first day can’t be considered a day of rest. Check-in: Alenka no longer receives gifts in the form of chocolates surprise, they put a large chocolate bar in their passports and asked the guide to give them a room in a quiet building and preferably on the 2nd floor. As a result, they gave us a second floor, but in a building, across the road from the main building, overlooking the road, number 6219. At night you can hear the noise of cars. We went to ask the guide to change the room, but we were told to wait another two hours or come back tomorrow. We decided to leave the exchange for another day. The next day, the guide Misha kept his promise and we were offered two rooms to choose from. In the end, we stayed in our building, room 6207, but the view from the room was onto a courtyard with ponds, and there was almost no noise from cars. And the second room offered was in a building near another road, through which you go to the sea, where the traffic is even busier. Rooms: The condition of the rooms is very mediocre, everything is old and needs renovation for a long time. Of course, the hotel does not correspond to 4* at all. The bathroom was especially impressive; the floor was tiled like a public toilet. In Thailand, 3* hotels are much better. But, we must pay tribute, the bed linen and towels are very white and clean, although sometimes there were towels with holes. The room had bathrobes, beach flip-flops, 2 bottles were supplied daily. water, replenished the range of soap and soap accessories. But we didn’t come to sit in the room, so we didn’t pay much attention to it. Food: We only took breakfast, and, in our opinion, for a 4* hotel it was too meager, there was not meat every day, and if there was, it was in the form of finely chopped bones with skin, we didn’t even take it. In two weeks, small pieces of pulp could only be found 3 times. Vegetables like tomatoes and cucumbers were also not available every day. I also didn’t like that the first courses were always lukewarm, because... the plates already contained dumplings or noodles, when you take the first one, broth is poured from the pan, in the end everything turns out cold, but we like to eat the first one hot. In a word, we were not satisfied with the food. This is probably the first time in all our trips that we were not very happy with the food. But nutrition was never the main thing for us, so we weren’t particularly upset, we still ate our fill and ate only fruit for lunch. We regretted not taking dinners, everyone praised them. Apparently all the meat was there, but for breakfast there were only bones. We thought that in China, just like in Thailand, there is no point in taking dinner at all, because... There are a lot of places to eat there. But that turned out not to be the case here. We tried to eat at the Marina cafe, but we didn’t like it. Territory: Here it is, just 5+, it’s just a heavenly place, for such a territory the hotel can be forgiven for all its shortcomings. So much greenery, flowers, palm trees, just super! And what ponds with fish, bridges, waterfalls! Gorgeous swimming pool. We really, really enjoyed it. Therefore, you can definitely go to this hotel just for its beautiful grounds. One day, while walking, we entered the territory of the Ocean Sonic Resort 5* hotel. We brought tourists there twice during excursions, and we liked the hotel. So we decided to take a look, but they have much smaller area, everything is concentrated around the pool, and there are 3 large buildings nearby. As a result, we came to the conclusion that the territory of our hotel is much better. Excursions: We bought two excursions from our tour operator through hotel guides. We took a paid survey because... After all the centers, you are taken to the Peking Duck restaurant for lunch, and then you swim for 1 hour and 10 minutes on a yacht. There are no more options with boat trips, only fishing, but very expensive. We sailed past Phoenix Island, a Chinese-style yacht, very beautiful. We were satisfied. The second excursion was to Yanoda Park. We didn’t take it from the locals, because we weren’t sure that we would figure out all the labyrinths of the tropical forest there, the distances are long and you can get confused. But the locals only offer a transfer, and the difference in price was very small, we paid 350 yuan. We independently went to Nanshan, the “Deer Turned its Head” park, the “Edge of the World” park and the Linchun Ling park. Maps.me can help you navigate the area well. Guides Misha, Nastya, Diana are at the hotel every day from morning to evening. If requested, they will write the names of the stops in Chinese; when you enter the bus, you show it to the driver and he will tell you where to get off. Conclusion: We were 100% satisfied with our vacation, our expectations were worse. Apart from some shortcomings, I liked everything. A very green and clean island, a beautiful sea, the weather was wonderful, it’s not for nothing that November is considered velvet season, the humidity is low, so it was very comfortable. We went on excursions for a day, a day beach holiday, and from 12 to 15 o'clock. We explored the surrounding area on foot, found two more parks near the hotel, and visited them too. So, we will be happy to return to Hainan again, perhaps to the same hotel. We can confidently recommend both Hainan and the hotel for a holiday.…
