Madrid airport terminals
Madrid Airport consists of five passenger terminals: T1, T2, T3, T4 and T4S, as well as a private aviation terminal.

Attention - an important nuance! If you were taken from the plane to terminal T1, T2, T3 or T4, then you should not have any problems getting your luggage. But if you find yourself in the T4S terminal, then the main thing here is not to get confused. First you will need to go through the zone passport control on the ground floor, after which you go up to the second floor, from where you take the underground electric train to terminal T4. In Hall No. 11 on the ground floor of terminal T4 you can collect your luggage.

Taxi
You have just arrived in the capital of Spain, but, despite your fatigue, do not rush to jump into the first taxi offered to you. We advise you to get to special taxi stops located near terminal T4 arrivals, terminal T1 arrivals (opposite gate 2), terminal T2 arrivals (opposite waiting room 5). Take a taxi in these places and be sure to pay attention to the fact that the meter turns on only when you get into the car. On average, the cost of a trip from Barajas to the center of Madrid will cost you 35-40 EUR. The minimum cost of the trip is 22 EUR.
Bus
The most convenient way is to use the services of express buses that run 24 hours (every 15 minutes during the day, and half an hour at night). They are not difficult to find; all express buses are painted yellow. From Madrid, the express train departs from Atocha Station and makes stops at Plaza Cibelis and Calle O'Donell. The final stops are terminals T1, T2, T3 and T4. On average the journey takes 40 minutes. The ticket will cost 5 EUR.
Regular buses also stop in front of Terminal T4 of Barajas Airport, the routes of which you can familiarize yourself with on site. Perhaps one of these buses will go exactly where you are heading. The fare is 1.50 EUR.
Metro
Madrid's business center and Barajas International Airport are connected by metro line 8. From Nuevos Ministerios station you can get to terminals T1, T2 and T3 (the penultimate station of the line) and to terminal T4 (the last station) in a matter of minutes (on average 12-15 minutes). Please note that you will need to purchase two tickets: one for 4.50 EUR and the other for 3 EUR (you must select a special rate to purchase). The cost of the second ticket is an airport tax.
Suburban trains
Terminal T4 of Barajas Airport can be reached in 25 minutes by train from the main train station of the capital Atocha (Estación de Atocha). You can also take this commuter train along the route at the stops Princepe Pio, Mendez Alvaro (bus station), Nuevos Ministerios, Chamartin (second railway station). Trains run every half hour. The ticket costs 2.60 EUR.
