Sharjah's Al Majaz fountains are one of the largest singing fountains in the Persian Gulf - the second in height and scale after Dubai's in the UAE (and throughout the region). Although these fountains are less famous than the grandiose singing fountains of Dubai or Barcelona, they are still one of the main attractions of Sharjah and a must-see for most travelers.

During evening shows, jets of water rise to a height of up to 100 meters, and the total width of the complex of fountains involved reaches 220 meters.
The spectacular water show combines laser lighting, spotlights, video, music and various displays. There are several show programs, mostly accompanied by classical music (but not only). The “repertoire” of Sharjah fountains also includes visualization of key moments in the history of the UAE - all images and even portraits of political and cultural figures are projected onto the water. The performance looks like this: the waters of Khalid Bay foam, a powerful water wall more than 200 meters wide appears, the fountains begin to work separately, jets of water soar up and down, splashing in different directions to the beat of the music. Opening hours of Sharjah Fountains

Singing fountains are located in Al Majas Park - one of the most picturesque and fashionable vacation spots on the shores of the Khalid Lagoon.

The fountains are located in a park called Al Majas, which is located on the shores of the Khalid Lagoon. In the western part of Sharjah, near the city aquarium. Buses run here from other parts of the city; you can get off at the stop of the same name, although there are a couple more suitable stops nearby.

About history and architecture
Construction of the park around the fountains began in 2010 thanks to the participation of the Emirate Investment and Development Authority. In addition to the fountains themselves, food courts, a golf course, paths for jogging and cycling, the Al Noor Mosque, a paid “dry” fountain, a park with sculptures and areas for various cultural events were built. The construction cost about 120 million dirhams.
The first program was presented in 2012. The opening was attended by Sheikhinya Budur bint Sultan Al Qasimi herself, daughter of the Emir of Sharjah and member of the board of directors of Shurooq.

This technique is called Ebru or “water marble”.

Construction of the public park on the Al Majaz waterfront of the Khalid Lagoon began in 2010, commissioned by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq). Large dancing fountains became the central attraction in the park.

The first performance of the fountains took place on February 24, 2012.
