Documents for a visa to Finland in Moscow are traditionally accepted by VFS "Global" - an outsourcing company that acts as an intermediary between applicants and diplomatic missions of different countries.
VFS security rules prohibit applicants from coming with friends, relatives or business associates. However, these strictures do not apply to persons accompanying persons with disabilities or hearing impairments.
Once you have submitted an application to enter Finland, you can track its status online. It is enough to enter the receipt number and the date of birth of the applicant in a special field.
The cost of a Finnish visa is 35 euros (+25 euros service charge).

Although the VFS visa service center is authorized to issue Finnish visas, Russians can apply for an entry visa on their own to the Finnish Embassy in the Russian Federation.
Moreover, a 2011 National Geographic poll found that Russian tourists consider the Embassy of Finland in the Russian Federation the friendliest of all diplomatic missions.
The largest section of the embassy is the visa section. It serves applicants from all over Russia, with the exception of the Northwestern Federal District (it is handled by the Consulate General in St. Petersburg and its branches).

Each application is considered by the embassy individually, and applying for a visa does not automatically mean receiving it. Even careless filling out of the questionnaire sometimes becomes a reason for refusing a visa. So pay attention to the correct filling of all papers!
If the person applying to the embassy lives more than 500 km from Moscow, and his documents do not raise additional questions, then the application can be considered within 3 working days. This expedited clearance costs 70 euros. You need to take your internal passport with you, and the registration mark will confirm your place of residence.
