Citizenship is an important step in the life of a migrant. By the paperwork you need to approach with full responsibility. This also applies to photos: in order for an application to be rejected, it is necessary to comply with all the requirements for a photo of citizenship of the Russian Federation.

How many photos should be provided

When applying for a receipt russian citizenship  future citizens russian Federation  must provide 4 high-quality photographs on paper that meet the requirements. Photos are allowed in both color and black and white.

Photo Requirements

In general, the requirements for photos provided for the citizenship of the Russian Federation are standard. A person should be removed without glasses or a headdress (although there are some exceptions), print defects or the so-called red-eye effect are not allowed. Ovals or corners in the photo should not be. Any retouching methods are strictly prohibited.

Certain requirements are also placed on the background of the image: only white, light gray or light blue are allowed. Therefore, when ordering photos need to be careful. Employees of migration authorities may reject pictures taken against a very dark background.

In addition, there are some other requirements for citizenship photos in 2017:

  • The size of the photo is 3.5 x 4.5 cm. This is the usual size of a passport picture, which they will gladly make in any photo studio.
  • The person in the picture should look natural.
  • Photo paper requires high quality. Accept only pictures on matte paper, the provision of glossy is not allowed. This requirement always existed: the image made on gloss is easily smeared and difficult to scan.
  • What matters is when the pictures were taken. At the time of submission to the Regional Office for Migration (UVM), they should be no older than 120 days.
  • Photographed in a headdress is prohibited. Nevertheless, there are exceptions to this rule. So, Muslims who should be in a headdress for religious reasons, can not remove it. In this case, the face should be visible. Headgear should not cover even part of it.
  • Glasses before shooting should be removed, but exceptions exist here. People who wear glasses for medical reasons may remain in them. In this case, the lenses should only be transparent. The eyes in the photo should be visible, so the presence of glare is excluded. Massive frames, colored or mirrored lenses are not allowed, because they distort the oval of the face.

  • The face should be located in the center of the image.
  • Photo should not be stained or wrinkled.
  • The contours of the face should be clear and smooth, not blurred. The face in the picture should not look too small, but the size should not exceed 70% of the photo.
  • The face may not be obscured by any means.
  • The eyes in the picture should be open, but not too wide (so that the face does not look frightened).
  • You can not smile at the photo. Facial expression should be natural and calm.
  • The image in the photo for citizenship must be strictly full face. You can not turn or tilt your head: face when looking at the documents always looks into the lens.

Of course, it is necessary to properly prepare for taking photos for obtaining Russian citizenship. A person needs to look decent, hair should be neatly combed. Women should not get carried away too bright makeup.

Before submitting, it is necessary to make sure that the photos meet these requirements: even an imperceptible at first glance error can lead to failure. In addition, some units GUVM (FMS) equipped with their own small photo studios. In this case, it makes sense to take pictures for citizenship there.

Photos of children

The requirements for photographs of minor children are the same as for photographs of adults. The only difference is in the number of photos: two are enough for a child.

Since the appearance of babies is changing rapidly, baby photos are best done immediately before serving. Sometimes these pictures have to be redone several times: for small children, a trip to a photo studio is an exciting game, and in the photo the kids often smile. A package of documents for a minor filed by parents or guardians.

Those who have moved to Russia and are planning to apply for citizenship, you must first familiarize yourself with the requirements for documents, including photos. This will help to make the registration process successful and avoid unnecessary delays.

Citizenship creates an inextricable legal connection between the state and its inhabitants. Against this background, both have certain rights and obligations in relation to each other. Citizenship establishes that a particular person belongs to a particular state. To acquire the desired status, it is necessary to comply with all requirements established at the legislative level. Admission to the citizenship of the Russian Federation is carried out by two main procedures: simplified and general.

General citizenship procedure

Admission to the citizenship of the Russian Federation in a general manner, includes certain requirements established by law. In particular, such requirements include:

  • Permanent presence on the territory of the Russian Federation for at least five years, taking into account the issued residence permit. The term begins to run from the time of issuance of a residence permit to the day of filing the corresponding application for the acquisition of the desired civil status.
  • Compliance with established constitutional norms. In support of such an obligation, the applicant puts a personal signature in the column of the relevant statement.
  • The presence of a permanent source of income. When submitting an application, the applicant must have income from any type of activity not prohibited in the Russian territory. For example, it may be a formal place of work, receiving a pension, benefits, etc.

If these requirements are met, it is necessary to submit a separate application containing a waiver of existing citizenship. Such a document is submitted to the consular representation of the country in which the applicant has a civil affiliation.

The five-year period for living in the territory of the Russian Federation can be reduced if:

  • the applicant has a qualification or profession that is of particular value for Russia, or has special achievements in the cultural, scientific and technical fields;
  • there is a recognized;
  • the applicant received official asylum on Russian soil.

Without meeting the deadlines set for accommodation, you can apply if:

  • the applicant has special services to the Russian Federation;
  • the applicant is a citizen of a country formerly part of the USSR, having served a contract for at least three years in the army of the Russian Federation.

Renunciation of previous citizenship is not required for the following reasons:

  • such a refusal is not possible for reasons beyond the control of the citizen;
  • between the Russian side and the state whose representative acts as a claimant, there is a concluded, valid agreement allowing for the preservation of the original civil status after being granted Russian citizenship;
  • the applicant is in refugee status or has received political asylum in Russia.

Simplify order

Only adults who are fully capable, come from a foreign state or have no citizenship can use the simplified procedure. To use such a procedure, the following conditions must be met:

  • one of the parents is a citizen of the Russian state or does not live in its territory;
  • the applicant at the time of filing the application resides in the territory of the state that previously belonged to the USSR.

Persons residing in the Russian Federation, having a civil affiliation of another country or not having it at all, can count on a simplified procedure, subject to certain requirements:

  • the applicant was born in the Soviet Union and had the appropriate citizenship;
  • disabled persons, if they have children who have Russian citizenship;
  • for three years, the applicant is officially married to a person who has the status of a citizen of Russia.

A stateless person who arrives from a country that was part of the Soviet Union may apply in the order in question to receive the status under consideration, under the following conditions:

  • there is a residence permit or registration at the place of residence in the territory of the Russian Federation;
  • the applicant has a legitimate source of income for normal residence in Russian territory;
  • knowledge of the national language of Russia.

If the applicant meets all the above requirements, preparation for obtaining the desired status should begin with the collection of documents.

In each individual case, additional documents may be required (for example, a birth certificate for children, a marriage union, etc.).

All submitted documents are checked, and within six months the decision is made on the acceptance or refusal of citizenship. For a simplified procedure, the decision period is three months. Do not forget that for a simplified procedure, the same requirements apply in terms of compliance with the laws and the rights of other citizens of the country to which they are acquired.

Knowledge of the national language

For admission to citizenship, it may be necessary to comply with the condition that the applicant must have the status of a native Russian speaker. To do this, it must meet the following requirements:

  • reach the age of 18 years;
  • be fully capable;
  • be fluent in Russian and use it in the domestic and cultural sphere.

The level of proficiency in the national language should ensure that the applicant can communicate normally with other residents of the Russian state, both verbally and in writing. The requirement for knowledge of the Russian language is quite high.

In addition, the applicant must, at the time of filing the application, reside permanently on Russian soil or on the territory of a country that was previously part of the Soviet Union. It is allowed to have at least one relative who lived or still lives in Russia, previously lived in the territory of the Russian Empire or in the territory of the Soviet Union, within the present borders of the Russian Federation.

There are several different options for obtaining Russian citizenship, which differ depending on the specific conditions that a person has. The most standard option is admission to the citizenship of the Russian Federation in a general manner. This option is longer than the simplified procedure of reception, it can take up to one year from the date of application, and also requires compliance with a number of conditions and a number of specific procedures.

Features of registration of citizenship

One of the highlights is the fact that citizenship of the Russian Federation in a general manner requires mandatory approval by the President of the Russian Federation. For comparison, if registration takes place, then only the approval of the bodies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, as well as the territorial bodies of the FMS of Russia, is sufficient. In this case, the term for simplified adoption would be reduced to six months or, in some cases, when there is an international treaty with the countries from which the person is born, everything is reduced to three months.

What you need to get?

Consider the conditions in that order.

  • A person must live in Russia for at least five years. However, he must reside within the framework of a residence permit. The term starts from the day of obtaining a residence permit. It is important that at the same time a person leaves Russia for no more than three months within one year. In some cases, the five-year term is reduced to one year if the person is recognized as a refugee, received political asylum in Russia, or has a profession that is of increased interest to the country. In general, one can immediately apply for citizenship if there are special merits in front of Russia or if a person of her less than 3 years worked under a contract in the Russian Armed Forces.
  • A person must comply with Russian legislation, as well as the Constitution of Russia.
  • A person must have a legitimate source of livelihood. Another option is to be dependent on another person.
  • A person must submit a written statement of renunciation of his current citizenship to the diplomatic representation of the country to which he originally belonged. If a stateless person, then this item, of course, is skipped. If the refusal of citizenship is impossible due to reasons that do not depend on a person or there is a diplomatic agreement with the country where he came from, then this item can also be skipped. The situation is the same for refugees and asylum seekers.
  • A person must be fluent in Russian. There are state criteria that determine the level of education, confirming that a person knows the language sufficiently. There are no problems in countries where Russian is one of the official languages. An example is the Republic of Belarus.

Documents

As with any other form of registration of citizenship, it is necessary to make a special statement in the form prescribed by law. In addition, the following documents are required:

  • Passport or any other identity document. If it is compiled in a foreign language, it is necessary to attach to it a notarized translation of the main points;
  • Birth certificate for children or written consent of a child from 14 to 18 years. In some cases, the consent of the second parent may be required;
  • Citizenship document. If there is none, then a document indicating the place of residence;
  • 3 photos 3x4 centimeters;
  • The receipt confirming the fact of payment of state duty in the amount of 2000 rubles.

Other documents are optional, they depend on what are the grounds for obtaining citizenship and what conditions have arisen.
