What to do in a new light. Resort village New World (Crimea) and its attractions

So that you don’t miss anything interesting while relaxing in the New World, we have prepared for you a list of the most interesting attractions. Now the question “What to see in the New World?” will resolve itself. We tried to divide all the attractions according to their accessibility for ordinary tourists (price and ways to get there).

What can you see in the New World without problems? (cheap and close)

1. New World embankment

If you are already vacationing in the New World, then you have definitely already visited the embankment. But if you are just choosing a place for your future vacation, we hasten to please you. The embankment here is surprisingly good. It is shady, there are many comfortable benches, and there are nice (and quite cheap by local standards) restaurants or souvenir shops on every corner. But the most pleasant thing is the fact that the embankment is very green, there are many beautiful exotic plants and flower beds. We have already written in more detail about this before.

2. Chaliapin Grotto (Getting there: 20 minutes on foot. Price: about 100 rubles)

- one of the largest attractions. We dedicated it to him, and here we will only briefly repeat the most important. The grotto itself is very beautiful. At one time, not only was Prince Golitsyn’s wine cellar located here, but opera concerts were also held. Even Emperor Nicholas II rested in the grotto.

To get to the grotto you will have to walk a little along. There is an entrance fee to the trail, but it is inexpensive. It is unlikely that you will be satisfied with just visiting the grotto, so expect a 3-4 hour walk with fantastic scenery around.

Although the grotto is quite large, from above it appears tiny against the background of the surrounding rocks.

Our African friends are no strangers to making money. Photos with them, of course, are paid.

This is what Count Golitsyn's wine cellar looks like. Once upon a time it was filled with the best wines of Crimea and the world.

This is what Chaliapin's grotto looks like if you climb the path a little further.

3. Source of St. Anastasia (Getting there: an hour on foot. Price: free)

Please note: despite the fact that paid excursions to the source are organized, we strongly recommend that you go on a trip on your own. This will make it much more interesting.

A fairly detailed map of the path to the source of St. Anastasia. The journey takes about an hour and a half one way.

On the way to the spring you come across a lot of beautiful landscapes, as if taken from oriental fairy tales.

4. Territories of boarding houses (free)

Almost everything in the New World is very beautiful. They carefully look after their territory and try, whenever possible, to decorate it with unusual buildings or exotic plants. It would be a sin not to take advantage of such an opportunity and not look at such beauty. Moreover, access to most boarding houses is completely free. Here, for example, . It's a pity that we decided to blog late. We have a huge number of fantastic photos, but in them we are in swimsuits...

This is what the houses look like, in one of which we spent a whole week

At almost every step there are beautiful green flower beds and a wide variety of southern plants.

The whole village is very green and beautiful. It is pleasing to the eye.

Sights that require effort to see (cheap, but long to get to)

5. Mount Sokol (Getting there: 3-4 hours on foot. Price: free)

To the top, we recommend going past. The tour is free, but be careful. You will have to walk for quite a long time: from 3 to 5 hours, depending on the length of the photo pauses. And there is plenty to photograph: amazingly beautiful landscapes, breathtaking bird's-eye views, rare plants, animals and birds.

6. Golitsyn Trail (Walk length: 3-4 hours. Price: about 100 rubles)

One of the most beautiful walks in the vicinity of the New World. You can walk along the path winding among the high cliffs along the sea coast. Beautiful landscapes that will take your breath away can be found here at almost every step. We invite you to look at our photographs:

Detailed map of the route along the Golitsyn trail with key points marked.

Throughout your journey along the Golitsyn trail, you will be accompanied by fantastically beautiful views that no photo can convey.

At the top of Cape Kapchik you get simply amazing photos.

On the Golitsyn trail you will see a lot of juniper. The smell there is indescribable.

Attractions and excursions that will cost you money

7. New World Winery (Getting there: 10 minutes on foot. Price: from 300 rubles)

- one of the oldest in Crimea. For example, this particular wine was served at the coronation of Nicholas II, and the emperor himself more than once vacationed with Prince Golitsyn in And this is what the factory fence looks like.

Inside the plant you can see a whole bottle of bottles, no matter how strange it may sound.

Here is an example of a cozy restaurant. The bar has mostly local wine.

8. City of Sudak (Getting there: by boat or by bus. Price: pay the fare)

- the largest city closest to the New World. Here you can see the Genoese fortress and local architecture. If you prefer a different style of relaxation, the local water park and sandy beaches are at your service. We wrote about Sudak, and therefore we will not repeat it here.

9. Excursion to the cities of Crimea (high prices)

In principle, from the New World you can go to see almost any major city in Crimea. Paid excursions have been organized and streamlined for quite some time. In almost every boarding house you will find excursion programs and their prices, which, by the way, are quite high. If you decide to go on your own by public transport, there are no problems here either. There is a small bus station in the city.

10. Caves in Crimea (Getting there: 3-4 hours by bus. Prices: high)

We decided to write about the caves separately. It's amazingly beautiful inside. You can look at centuries-old stalactites and stalagmites, walk over underground rivers (special bridges are equipped) and much more.

Despite the fact that there are almost 100 caves in Crimea, the most famous is Marble. Please note that the caves are very cold. Take it with you warm clothes.

Many people choose a vacation in Crimea for their summer vacation. If you are thinking about where to go on the Crimean Peninsula, then, without a doubt, give your preference to the village of Novy Svet. In addition to the cleanest sea, gentle sun and beautiful landscapes, many interesting excursions await you here. Have you decided? Now let's find out more about the sights of the New World in Crimea.

Falcon Trail

One of the most visited places is the Golitsyn trail in the New World. Crimea, of course, can boast not only of this wonderful place. But this does not change its significance. The mountain trail is located in the Green Bay of Crimea. The path runs along the Blue Bay, through Cape Kapchik and ends in the Golitsyn Grotto.

The history of the trail dates back to 1912. In honor of the arrival of Emperor Nicholas II and his family, by order of Prince Golitsyn, they cut a path to the top of the mountain, which offers a magnificent view. They say that the king, impressed by what he saw, named the village New World, and from then on the path was named in honor of the prince.

Beaches

It would seem that this is an integral attribute of every resort town, and they cannot in any way be attractions. But this does not apply to the beaches of the New World. One proof of this is Tsarsky Beach. It is located on the territory of the New World reserve in Crimea, and now anyone can get here. A couple of years ago it was closed in order to preserve nature. The name of this beach, like the entire village, is associated with the visit of the emperor.

This New World beach is more like a wild coast. There are no sun loungers or other equipment, coastal cafes or other attributes of a crowded beach. But doesn't that make him even more attractive? Black-gray soft sand, a gorgeous view of the sea and the cries of flying seagulls - what could be better? Now it’s clear why it is considered one of the attractions of the New World in Crimea.

The only disadvantage of this wonderful beach, although to some, on the contrary, this may seem like an advantage, is its inaccessibility. The passage to it is not very easy. You will need to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. But believe me, it's worth it. By the way, you can get here not only on foot, but also by boat.

Falcon

Mount Kush-Kaya, or Falcon, is the largest and oldest coral reef in Europe. Once upon a time, the peak, rising almost half a kilometer above the water, was the seabed. Much of the mountain is steep, dangerous even for the most experienced climbers. Special routes have been laid out here for extreme sports enthusiasts. from 1st to 6th difficulty category. Conquerors of peaks will be able to climb the mountain on foot.

Kutlat fortress

The structure, dating back to the 1st century BC, is not often mentioned in guidebooks to the New World. Archaeologists found it relatively recently - in 1982. As a result of research, we learned that the fortress belonged to the Bosporan kingdom and served to fight pirates.

Karaul-Oba

This mountain is located near Cape Kapchik and Blue Bay. At the top, archaeologists discovered Bronze Age settlements and household items of that time. In the western part, remains of the fortifications of the Bosporan kingdom have been preserved. Here, according to scientists, there used to be a guard post.

Lutheran Church

Since 1805, there was a German colony of settlers in Sudak. By order of Empress Catherine II, foreign colonists arrived here to occupy the lands of the Crimean Tatars who had moved to Turkey. The church was built in 1887. In August 1941, residents of the colony were deported. In the USSR, the church building was used for a cinema and a club. Now Baptist services are held here, and there is also an exhibition of the Genoese fortress.

Around the church you can see a large number of historical monuments from different times. One of them is a temple of 10-12 centuries. A little further there is a small lapidarium with tombstones of prominent people of Sudak. They were brought here from a pre-revolutionary cemetery located on the site of the current clinic.

Juniper Grove

Perhaps the most beautiful place in the entire New World is the botanical reserve. Here you can see a wide variety of medicinal plants and rare animal species. This place is called the Valley of Paradise. To get to the juniper grove, you need to climb the Taurus staircase, cut into the rock more than 3 thousand years ago. Here you will see incredible trees, somewhat similar to pine trees - relict tree-like junipers. Centuries-old examples of downy and sessile oak, maple, ash and pistachio trees also grow here.

The air is saturated with juniper, pine and herbs. You can feel this especially well in the hot summer. Breathing this air is very beneficial.

The New World Botanical Reserve is a place of incredible beauty. It attracts local residents, tourists, photographers, artists and poets. And of course, they couldn’t help but film a couple of films in this wonderful place. Reviews about holidays in this place can only be found positive. Travelers are happy to return here again.

Champagne

Perhaps the most important and most interesting attraction for tourists in the New World in Crimea can be considered a champagne wine factory. It was founded in 1878 by Prince Lev Golitsyn. He began work by growing vineyards and creating cellars. Tunnels for storing wines were dug by hand in the Koba Kaya mountain at different levels for each variety. The prince's main goal was to create champagne that could compete with the best representatives of France. After 10 years of hard work, the Paradise and New World champagnes were presented to the world. Due to their excellent taste, these drinks received the highest award at the World Exhibition in Paris.

Since the opening of the New World sparkling wine factory in Crimea, production technology has not changed. Each bottle of champagne is aged by hand. At least three years must pass before you can taste this wonderful drink. For the second century, only exquisite grape varieties have been used to prepare it: Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Pinot Franc and Aligote. It is grown in the vicinity of Sudak.

To ensure that the champagne turns out truly exquisite, every detail is taken care of. Grapes are harvested only in dry weather, so that dew does not accidentally fall on them. Each variety is collected separately from the others. Then the fruits are carefully sorted. If even the slightest damage is noticed, the bunch is immediately eliminated. The harvest is delivered to the plant in special containers that protect the grapes from contamination or damage.

Here, the best wine materials in Crimea are carefully processed: filtered, clarified and blended. Next, experienced winemakers create a batch mixture that is bottled.

It usually takes 3 years to make champagne. Its uniqueness lies in the aging method - alcohol fermentation. It is carried out in a hermetically sealed container for 2 months. Most of these enterprises greatly simplify this process - they infuse the drink for no more than 3 weeks.

This landmark of the New World in Crimea produces two million bottles annually. Everyone will find champagne for every taste and color. You can also take part in a wine tasting when visiting the Novy Svet plant in Crimea. Reviews from tourists speak for themselves. Everyone should try this champagne.

The Museum of the History of the Novy Svet Factory is located in a luxurious building with the design of a medieval castle. Here you will see rare porcelain, earthenware and glass products from around the world. During the tasting you can feel the difference between fine wines and accelerated wines. The desire to buy champagne prepared using the last named method will disappear once and for all. Don’t forget to bring a few bottles home after enjoying the luxurious wines. It is thanks to the taste of the luxurious New World champagne that you will remember this vacation for a long time and will leave only pleasant memories.

Now are you sure where to vacation this summer? Enjoy your holiday in the New World. Crimea always welcomes its guests good-naturedly.

The monument to M.D. Knyazeva to the best winegrower in the USSR is located on Lenin Street in Sudak. Maria Danilovna, born in 1918, is known for her achievements in the field of wine production. The foreman of the winemaking state farm, Twice Hero of Soviet Labor, was awarded the Order of Lenin and the Hammer and Sickle award. Her team harvested large quantities of crops annually, and in 1954 reached a record amount of 12,000 kg from 1 hectare of land.

The sights of the village of Novy Svet are very diverse and interesting. Before the official foundation of the village in 1878, the ancient Greeks noted the beauty of this place and called it Paradise (Paradise). In 1878, Prince Golitsyn bought these lands for the construction of a winery and a nursery for growing grapes. It was from Golitsyn’s nursery that the best varieties of Crimean grapes were born, which to this day bear fruit in the region of Sevastopol and Feodosia. The most important attraction of the New World was the champagne wines produced at the Prince Golitsyn factory. It was Golitsyn's champagne wines that were the first in the world to win blind tastings in 1898 and 1900 in Paris, beating producers from the French province of Champagne. Which led to a big scandal among the French, who did not want to recognize the results of the commission's vote. For French winemakers it was a shock, but for Prince Golitsyn it was world recognition, unprecedented excitement and interest in the village of Novy Svet and the champagne produced in it.

The most beautiful natural attraction of the New World is Mount Sokol. Mount Sokol is not very high, only 473.8 meters, but at the same time it is very unique. Mount Falcon is a coral reef that formed over 160 million years ago and is today considered the oldest coral reef in Europe. In addition to its antiquity and uniqueness, the Falcon has retained its steep shape, especially on the south side. Erosion and wind, of course, contributed to the destruction of Sokol, but still not as much as in most Crimean mountains. You can climb Mount Sokol with a guided tour or on your own. There are also about 20 routes for extreme sports enthusiasts, which can only be overcome with climbing equipment. Mount Sokol offers the best views of the New World and Sudak.
